A successful candidate will fit into one of several technical teams.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nSynthetic Environment:\n· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.\n· Be Eligible for DoD Security Clearance\n· Experience with C++ (focus on performance for real-time systems is a plus).\n· Awareness of modern graphics APIs (Vulkan, OpenGL, DirectX).\n· Experience with C++ (focus on performance for real-time systems is a plus).\n· Awareness of C++ build environments and tooling (CMake, compilers, linkers).\n· Experience with shell scripting and higher-level scripting languages (Python and Bash preferred).\n· Comfortable collaborating across engineering teams and communicating clearly about system-level issues.\n· Can communicate technical decisions with consideration and understanding of varied perspectives.\n· Strong analysis and problem-solving skills as well as a grasp of linear algebra and 3D mathematics.\n· Improve performance of existing simulator RADAR, Sensor pods, CGF and Weapons models and/or algorithms.\n· Support existing and create new software build environments.\n· CMake, self-hosted Git knowledge useful.\n· Troubleshoot issues with flight simulator equipment and interfaces\n· Show the ability to carry tasks through to completion with only general technical direction\n· Travel as needed to maintain existing solutions at customer sites. (up to 25% Travel)\nQualifications and Education Requirements\n· DoD Secret Clearance ( or higher, required to start )\n· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline\n· 0-5 years of direct software development experience post degree, C++ preferred (0-2 years with Master’s Degree)\n· Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.\nPreferred Skills\n· Software Development and Debugging in C++\n· Previous simulation system experience or Aviation experience\n· Prefer 4+ year experience using Linux development environment\n· Good communications skills\n· Travelling as needed to maintain existing solutions at customer sites.\n· Management of a software baseline, including branching, merging, building, maintaining, and installing software\n· Knowledgeable in algorithm performance and design. Able to apply knowledge\nSecurity Responsibilities\nMust comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.
