The Electrical Commissioning Engineer will support the development of the electrical test schedule, finalize electrical test procedures, review project submittals for consistency with the design intent, basis of design and the owner’s project requirements, and maintain project cadence for electrical systems testing and associated Building Automation Systems. The Electrical Commissioning Engineer is to support the planning and execution of commissioning for the electrical infrastructure of the mission critical facility. They will be expected to execute against the project schedule through the coordination of contractors and/or vendors to complete the desired electrical systems testing.\nCAI DC Electrical Commissioning Engineer will be exposed to cutting edge technologies in the Hyperscale and other spaces. Our collaborative culture ensures that our customers benefit from exemplary work across our entire range of professional services.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport all aspects of safety for all electrical tests.\nSupport complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of the electrical infrastructure systems.\nQA/QC of all electrical test procedures.\nProvide input and insight to the overall commissioning plan.\nDevelop reports for the electrical commissioning engineers and contribute to a daily report to the Commissioning Project Manager.\nAttend and be an active participant of customer equipment Factory Witness Test\nAssist with vendor coordination and management.\nPerform equipment inspection to ensure build adherence to vendor submittal.\nProvide test documentation that equipment is delivered, installed, and tested correctly and set to function properly for the customer.\nSupport and perform design specification review, manufacturer submittals, one line drawing sets, and project schedule documentation.\nQA/QC of electrical equipment installationstartup\nExecute test scripts to confirm equipment and system operation to design specification.\nEnsure safe work practices are followed by all on commissioning team and customer site.\nEngage with customers to ensure a positive experience, goals achievement, and schedule adherence.\nProvide daily reports for electrical commissioning team status.\nConduct facility walk downs, turnover, and punch list reviews.\nGeneral understanding of LEED specifications and requirements.\nLook for new opportunities for CAI to provide service and value to customer.\nDuties may be increased as experience and skill allow.\nRequirements include:\nPosition Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience\nMinimum of 3+ years of Data Center Commissioning experience.\nKnowledge of OSHA and NFPA 70E safety requirements.\nGood written and spoken communication skills.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and specifications.\nKnowledge of data center design concepts.\nKnowledge and commissioning experience with Electrical Distribution Switchgear, Substations, Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Batteries, Emergency Diesel Generators & Load Banks.\nKnowledge of power quality analysis.\nStrong experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.\nAbility to effectively write electrical commissioning scripts, daily reports, and final commissioning reports.\nOther Requirements:\nExcellent oral and written English is required\nExtensive travel may be required (up to 75%)\nCandidates must have a Passport or the ability to immediately get a Passport.\nWork under construction site conditions\nAble to work in the US without sponsorship now or any time in the future.\nAbout CAI\nCAI was established in 1996, that has grown year over year to more than 800 people worldwide.
