Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and safely and effectively use or operate work-related tools and equipment. Will be required to work in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting.\nResponsibilities\n*The following are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.\nSafely operate a hydraulic crawler crane with a lifting capacity of up to 100 tons.\nRead and interpret crane load charts to ensure safe lifting operations.\nInterpret standard hand signals and/or radio communications to safely position and place loads.\nFollow lift plans and coordinate with riggers, signal persons, and supervision during lifting operations.\nPerform daily inspections on equipment, including checking fluids, refueling, lubricating components, and assessing overall equipment condition.\nInspect wire rope, hooks, hydraulic systems, boom components, rigging attachments, tracks, and safety devices to ensure the equipment is in safe operating condition.\nPerform minor maintenance and cleaning activities for the crane and related equipment.\nReport malfunctioning equipment, mechanical issues, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.\nMaintain proper crane setup, travel, and positioning based on ground conditions and lift requirements.\nOperate equipment safely around personnel, structures, underground utilities, and overhead power lines.\nAssist other craft workers as needed.\nQualifications\nPhysical: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee may be required to:\nMove throughout active construction and project site environments, including areas with uneven terrain, mud, gravel, sand, and other varying surface conditions.\nPosition themselves to inspect work, access materials, equipment, structures, and work areas at ground level, overhead, and in restricted-access locations.\nAscend and descend stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated work surfaces while maintaining safety requirements.\nFrequently handle, operate, and use hand tools, power tools, equipment, instruments, and materials associated with assigned job duties.\nFrequently move, transport, position, push, pull, lift, or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance or mechanical devices where available.\nFrequently communicate and exchange information with crew members, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and others in field and office settings.\nUnderstand information presented through written, electronic, verbal, visual, and environmental sources to support safe and effective job performance.\nWork in a variety of environments, including outdoor settings exposed to heat, cold, rain, humidity, wind, noise, dust, and other weather or site-related conditions.\nWork in confined spaces, restricted access areas, or elevated locations when required by project needs and in accordance with applicable safety requirements.\nPerform work activities ranging from sedentary to heavy physical exertion depending on project assignment and operational needs.\nMental: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee may be required to:\nCommunicate and collaborate effectively with crew members, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and others.\nRead, interpret, apply, and communicate work instructions, plans, specifications, company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory
