Duties to include (but are not limited to) RFQ/RFP creation and solicitation, RFI management, quote/proposal review, executing purchase orders, vendor relationship management, and other duties as assigned.\nThe Sr. Procurement Specialist will conduct business in accordance with Cajun Industries’ Best Practices and\nCode of Ethics and be an active participant in the continuous development of the safety culture at Cajun Industries.\nResponsibilities\n*The following are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position for this position:\nBuilds and maintains a working relationship with vendors to obtain competitive pricing\nWorks with Estimating and Projects teams to build requisitions, solicit quotes, review proposals, and execute orders\nAbility to take an RFQ/RFP package through all stages of the procurement process ending in the execution of a purchase order\nExpedites vendor quotes\nNegotiate the first pass on Terms and Conditions for standard purchase orders, prior to execution, with review and support from the Procurement Manager\nAnswers RFIs in a timely manner\nIdentify cost saving opportunities and work with the procurement strategy to reduce costs without compromising quality or delivery schedule\nMaintains record of quotes, purchase orders, and applicable procurement logs\nResolve and approve vendor invoices as assigned\nReviews expediting reports with Expeditors to ensure orders are on time and reports any delays to the appropriate stakeholders\nSupports Procurement Specialists in their job duties as needed\nMentors Procurement Specialists in learning the duties of a Sr. Procurement Specialist\nAttends and participates in meetings as assigned\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nExperience\nMinimum of seven years of relevant experience in Procurement required with four years of experience being in an Industrial construction company and/or\nengineering firm\nStrong negotiation and analytical skills\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma (or equivalent) required\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited college/university is
