You should be equally comfortable managing time-sensitive operational tasks and identifying opportunities to simplify, improve, or automate existing workflows.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nOperational Ownership: Manage day-to-day operational workflows across trading, settlements, custody, and internal systems, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and effective issue resolution.\nReconciliation & Investigations: Perform and improve reconciliations across exchanges, wallets, and internal ledgers. Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement preventive controls.\nProcess Improvement & Automation: Identify repetitive or inefficient workflows and drive improvements through process redesign, tooling, and automation.\nOperational Projects: Take ownership of operational initiatives, from identifying requirements and coordinating stakeholders to testing, implementation, and adoption.\nData Analysis & Monitoring: Analyze operational data to identify discrepancies, recurring issues, inefficiencies, and potential risks. Develop or improve monitoring and reporting capabilities.\nCross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Trading, Treasury, and Finance to troubleshoot issues, improve internal systems, and support new business initiatives.\nTrading Infrastructure Support: Support the operational onboarding of new exchanges, trading venues, and counterparties, including testing workflows, validating system readiness, and maintaining operational records and documentation.\nThe Ideal Candidate:\nWork experience: 3+ years in operations, trade support, settlement or reconciliation within financial markets or digital assets.\nDemonstrated experience improving operational processes, implementing controls, or introducing automation, with the ability to measure their effectiveness.\nAble to independently prioritize tasks, make sound decisions, and recognize when to investigate, collaborate, or escalate.\nCurious, detail-oriented, asking the right questions, and investigating issues beyond their immediate symptoms.\nComfortable using SQL to query, validate, and analyse operational data, with the ability to understand and troubleshoot existing queries or scripts.\nWorking understanding of cryptocurrency markets and infrastructure, including exchanges, blockchain networks, stablecoins, wallets, and transaction confirmations.\nComfortable leveraging AI-assisted tools to support analysis, scripting, and workflow improvements, with an emphasis on validating outputs and understanding their limitations.\nClear and effective communicator who can coordinate across teams, document findings, and provide structured handovers and escalations.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities and a high degree of individual responsibility.\nWilling and able to work rotating shifts covering Asia, Europe, and US trading hours.\nNice to Have:\nExperience with OTC trading, digital asset settlements, or cryptocurrency exchange operations.\nFamiliarity with Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Grafana, or similar analytical and monitoring tools.\nExperience managing operational projects, system implementations, or process changes in a 24/7 trading environment.\nCompensation & Benefits:\nCompetitive salary based on experience\nLunch and shift allowances\nHealth insurance\nAbout Caladan\nCaladan is a principal trading firm specializing in digital assets.
