Title: Accountant\nDepartment: Finance\nReports To: Controller\nFLSA Status: Exempt\nJob Summary: The Accountant is responsible for a wide variety of duties, including A/P, credit card transactions, account reconciliations, month-end closing process, AJE, and General Ledger accounting.\nJob Duties/Responsibilities:\nPrepare, balance, and reconcile daily sales and contributions into the General Ledger.\nTroubleshooting and communicating with managers and others about discrepancies in daily reports.\nReconciliation of monthly company credit card transactions\nResponsible for all AP process\nProcess weekly AP vendor payments.\nMaintain professional relationships with vendors.\nAssist in month and year end closing\nAssist in compiling monthly reports and FS.\nMaintain monthly reconciliation schedules.\nDevelop and maintain regular reports via the company’s accounting system.\nAssist in the preparation of audit documentation. \nOther related responsibilities as necessary to accomplish department objectives.\nOversee / maintain inventory accounting processes\nLiaison with general liability insurance broker\nPhysical Requirements:\nRegularly required to sit for long periods\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds\nAbility to deal effectively with stress\nEducation and Experience:\nAssociates degree required, bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred \nMinimum of three years in intermediate level accounting\nMicrosoft Office suite including but not limited to proficient Excel skills.\nAbove average organizational skills and detail oriented\nAbility to maintain confidentiality for all financial matters.\nExcellent written and oral skills\nAbility to act courteously and effectively and to conduct with the highest standard of professionalism.\nAbility to maintain excellent departmental and inter-departmental relationships.\nMust be a motivated self-starter who needs minimal supervision.\nMaintain a safe and productive
