In this role, you'll work to spearhead diagnostics and maintain machinery to ensure safety and productivity in the warehouse. In our fast-paced, fun, team-oriented environment, your ability to lead projects and provide departmental training to your peers will make you an instrumental part of the team. \nWhat We Do – Accountabilities\nEnsures safe and efficient operation of the distribution center equipment by:\nProactive preventive maintenance of equipment\nQuick reaction to breakdowns so there is minimal mechanical down-time\nInsuring all OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory safety requirements are met or exceeded, including documenting inspections. Performs fire system inspections\nFollows prescribed processes and procedures to maximize equipment readiness and velocity of product within the distribution center by:\nMonitoring interior and exterior of facility and conducting equipment repairs as needed.\nPartnering to fix or update systems when necessary.\nEnsures effective production support, both proactively and reactively through:\nRegular monitoring of equipment \nFollowing up with equipment users after a repair or system upgrade is implemented.\n\nEssential Functions\nDepartment Safety – responsible for following all safety guidelines. With a strong emphasis on: Lock-out Tag-out, Fall protection, OSHA compliance.\nObtain and maintain a PIV (powered industrial vehicle) licenses to operate all PIV equipment associated with the warehouse within 90 days of employment.\nCoordinate the activities of maintenance, PIV, facilities and grounds maintenance contractors. \nPerform mechanical and electrical repairs ranging from routine to advanced, on equipment associated with warehouse distribution systems.\nPerform equipment diagnostics / repairs of motor control systems, forklifts, scanners and building systems\nDesign, oversee, and assist in the installation of electrical circuits per applicable codes\nProficient in the operation and utilization of various test and metering equipment\nAbility to develop and utilize PLC logic for trouble shooting / modifications \nAbility to develop and / or perform welding and fabrication. Knowledge of ARC, MIG and gas welding. Able to perform fabrication from drawings.\nPerform PMs, repairs and overhauls on all associated equipment. Identify damaged or defective equipment and repair in a timely manner. \nFamiliar with and / or experienced with Building Management Systems\nDetect safety hazards and plan/organize safe solutions.\nCan work independently or as part of a team.\nProvides departmental training based on areas of expertise\nLead projects and effectively direct the efforts of others through the course of the project.
