You will balance project leadership and people management while ensuring engineering teams are aligned with business priorities, customer requirements, and delivery objectives.\nCandidates with military or defence experience would be prioritized.\nWe are open to talent across Canada. While Ottawa is preferred, remote candidates will be considered.ResponsibilitiesLead software engineering teams responsible for the delivery of defence-focused software programs and products.\nManage project plans, schedules, resource allocation, risks, and delivery commitments.\nPartner with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.\nProvide leadership, coaching, performance management, and career development for engineering staff.\nSupport hiring, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.\nDrive process improvements and help establish scalable delivery and operating practices.\nEnsure alignment between business objectives, customer requirements, and engineering execution.\nQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n10+ years of experience in the software development industry.\n5+ years of management experience leading software engineering teams.\nExperience leading software delivery, project execution, and cross-functional teams.\nStrong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.\nAbility to operate independently and take ownership of complex programs and teams.\nAdditional RequirementsEligible to obtain Canadian Secret Security Clearance.\nDefence or military experience is considered a strong asset.\nExperience with Military Modelling and Simulation, Training and Operations (C5ISRT) is considered an asset.\nExperience working with defence systems, interoperability, communications systems, or military customers is considered an asset.\nTravel may be required based on customer and business
