This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy wood processing machines according to safety predictive and productive maintenance systems. Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.\nInform appropriate personnel of problems and projects that will affect the quality of production and production schedules.\nDevelop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures for new and existing equipment and all building systems.\nMaintain tools and equipment through proper storage, training, maintenance, and usage.\nEnsure compliance of facility to meet local building and fire codes.\nSet up and maintain maintenance records and project files.\nRequisition all parts, supplies, and raw materials needed to maintain machinery and facility.\n 5+ years of experience in similar maintenance-related roles working directly with heavy CNC-style machinery.\nMinimum high school diploma or GED required.\nAbility to use and troubleshoot issues related to hand tools and power tools.\nAbility to abide by applicable proscribed personal protective equipment (PPE).\nAbility to frequently climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces and work from elevated heights.\nAbility to read, interpret and understand equipment manuals and blueprints.\nAbility to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.\nNeed to have visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts produced.\nAbility to frequently bend, twist, squat, kneel, and lift (both lateral and overhead) and reach with hand and arms and grasp.
