This role is based on-site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 2:15 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The position will be rotational, helping to support the combined efforts of multiple positions within our Materials and Picking teams.\nThe Picking Team Member is a critical role within the company and has a direct impact on the quality and quantity of products that California Faucets provides to its customers. The primary purpose of this position is to support filling customer orders by picking material from inventory locations to support component finishing and product assembly. When performing these jobs, the following activities are required:\nFollowing instructions and locating parts on Pick Tickets.\nNotifying team leader of quality variances and parts shortages.\nEfficiently picking parts for finishing or final assembly and ensuring the correct number and type of part is obtained.\nCarrying or transporting orders to different staging areas utilizing material handling equipment, such as push carts.\nReading and counting accurately, performing simple math, and writing legibly.\nScanning tickets into the ERP computer system.\nMaintaining close communication with the Picking Lead and Inventory Control Specialists.\nKeeping picking aisles clean and organized at all times.\nAssisting other teams with picking and transactions of replacement parts, when needed.\nFilling in pick locations from overstock areas.\nPerforming additional assignments per management direction.\nPlease note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Must be able to communicate discrepancies to team leader and be able to solve problems and implement solutions.\nAbility to follow instructions and comply with all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment.\nAttention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and persistence.\nFosters team work\nAbility to work overtime as needed.\nEnvironmental and Safety Considerations:\nPossible exposure to heat, cold, dust, and moderate noise when working indoors.\nMust be able to follow proper lifting techniques\nThe ability to read and count accurately and perform basic math.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nPeople Interface:\nThe position requires contact primarily within the department on routine matters. Contact outside the Production Department is minimal.\nDecision Making:\nThe position requires working from detailed instructions as well as the use of judgment to plan and perform general decisions to solve a problem or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation.\nSupervision Received:\nUnder general supervision, assignments are both task-oriented and objective-oriented. Follows established procedures for routine work; receives specific instruction on non-routine problems.\nAccountabilities:\nAfter adequate training, the position requires a level of accountability to complete a pre-determined amount of work or units completed per shift.\nEducation and Experience:\nThe minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate. Someone entering this position should have at least six (6) months experience performing similar work in a related field.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and use of hands and fingers. The employee is frequently required to stand extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms below and above shoulder; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist or crawl. The employee may be required to lift/carry 1-50 pounds when necessary.
