Caliza replaces that with one platform and API: hold USD accounts, collect and pay in 33+ currencies, and convert between fiat and stablecoins, over local rails, SWIFT or stablecoins, in minutes instead of days. That means reviewing new business customers and integrator partners, getting the documentation we need, and making well-reasoned approval decisions quickly. Every customer who moves money on Caliza comes through you first. You will work closely with the Compliance Manager, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations, and you will help shape how onboarding scales as our volume grows.\nWhat you'll do\nOwn real-time customer onboarding. Review new applications as they arrive, chase missing information, and follow up with customers and partners until each file is complete.\nOwn document review for onboarded customers. This includes KYB and KYC: corporate documents, beneficial ownership, IDs, proof of address, source of funds and wealth, licences, and business activity, checked against our risk-based requirements.\nRun sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening, and work through potential matches.\nRun daily onboarding triage, investigation workflow, and disposition tracking. Assign risk ratings, document your rationale, and escalate high-risk or enhanced due diligence cases to the Compliance Manager.\nSupport periodic reviews and refresh files when customer information changes or triggers fire.\nBuild and document onboarding procedures, checklists, and decision guides, and keep them current as products and corridors change.\nAct as the primary point of contact for onboarding-related inquiries from examiners and correspondent banks. Pull customer files, answer due diligence questions, and prepare evidence, in coordination with the Compliance Manager.\nTrack onboarding metrics, such as turnaround time, backlog, approval and decline rates, and outstanding requests, and flag bottlenecks.\nWhat you'll bring\n2-4 years in KYC, KYB, or customer onboarding at a fintech, payments company, money services business, crypto business, or bank.\nHands-on experience reviewing corporate documents and identifying beneficial owners, including multi-layered and cross-border ownership structures.\nWorking knowledge of US BSA/AML requirements, including the Customer Due Diligence Rule, and of sanctions screening.\nSharp attention to detail, with clear, concise case notes that would satisfy an examiner.\nComfort managing a live queue with service-level targets while juggling customer follow-ups.\nProfessional working fluency in English. Spanish or Portuguese is a strong plus.\nAbility to work hours that overlap with US Eastern and Brazil time zones.\nNice to have\nExperience onboarding crypto, stablecoin, or digital asset businesses.\nFamiliarity with KYC requirements in Brazil, Mexico, or Bermuda.\nExperience with onboarding and screening tools such as Sumsub, Persona, Alloy, Middesk, ComplyAdvantage, or similar.\nA CAMS or CKYCA certification, or progress toward one.\nBenefits\nBenefits vary by country of employment and may include health coverage, paid time off and holidays, a home office or equipment allowance, a professional development budget, and in-person team offsites.
