You will ensure projects deliver measurable benefits in line with strategy, commercial commitments, and regulatory requirements.\nResponsibilities\nEstablish, develop and manage a professional Project Management Office within the Company.\n\nWorking with and across a strong team of Project/Programme Managers to develop and maintain high-quality, integrated schedules.\n\nManage the development and evolution of PM processes.\n\nActively support the PMs in tracking progress against the project schedule, including forecasting of potential problem areas and proposing mitigation measures.\n\nActively manage the development and implementation of a robust, scalable Integrated Resource Planning process and toolset.\n\nProvide critical path and schedule risk analysis support.\n\nAssess the impact of change to the project planning baseline.\n\nManage the definition and generation of standardised outputs to support routine Project Review Boards and ad-hoc reporting/governance as required.\n\nProviding planning and scheduling expertise in support of a project/programme team.\n\nEstablish and Maintain Earned Value Management within the projects and programmes team\n\nPerform other related duties when required.\n\nHealth & Safety\nDemonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner.\n\nReport all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.\n\nWhen required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.\n\nQualifications\nFormal PMO qualification (e.g. P30 APMP, PMQ, PMP or Prince 2).\n\nPreferably educated to first degree level in a STEM subject, but relevant skills and experience are key requirements.\n\nSkills and Experience\nEssential:\nKnowledge and experience of using best practice project planning processes and toolsets.\n\nProven ability to quickly understand the operating landscape and establish own priority activities as a self-starter.\n\nDemonstrable experience in the development, integration, and analysis of project plans for both development and production projects.\n\nDemonstrable experience of defining and implementing process change within an organisation.\n\nAbility to manage priorities and lead a team to work to challenging timescales.\n\nExperience in generating and analysing project. performance data (schedule, resource, and cost), including SRA/Critical path analysis.\n\nClear communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to foster collaborative working relationships with colleagues at all levels.\n\nExperience utilising MSP and JIRA.\n\nDesirable:\nExperience of a PMO function within the Aerospace and Defence sector.\n\nExperience in establishing earned value management best practices in an organisation.\n\nExperience implementing new PM toolsets into an organisation is highly desirable.\n\nExperience of Hybrid, customer led, project management methodologies.\n\nPersonal Attributes\nMust be a British Citizen or have an existing right to work in the UK.\n\nAbility to commit to occasional national and international travel.\n\nA full valid UK driving license.\n\nAbility to hold Security Clearance - 5 years residence in the UK.\n\nCallen-Lenz is an equal opportunities employer, committed to building an inclusive working environment.
