The successful candidate will ensure that organisational data is accurate, consistent, secure, and optimised to support business operations, reporting, analytics, engineering processes, and strategic decision-making.\nResponsibilities\nData Architecture & Strategy\nDevelop and maintain the enterprise data architecture roadmap aligned with business objectives.\n\nDesign logical and physical data models supporting current and future enterprise applications.\n\nDefine standards, principles, and best practices for enterprise data management.\n\nCreate and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and documentation.\n\nEstablish scalable architectures supporting ERP, PLM including Manufacturing Systems, and reporting platforms.\n\nCollaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure data structures support operational and strategic requirements\n\nData Governance\nLead the organisation's Data Governance framework and strategy.\n\nEstablish policies, standards, controls, and procedures governing enterprise data.\n\nDefine ownership, stewardship, and accountability models for critical business data.\n\nDevelop data quality metrics and governance KPIs.\n\nSupport compliance requirements related to data security, privacy, retention, and auditability.\n\nDatabase Administration\nAdminister, monitor, maintain, and optimise enterprise database environments.\n\nEnsure high availability, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.\n\nImplement database security controls and access management.\n\nManage database upgrades, patching, and lifecycle maintenance activities.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve database performance and integrity issues.\n\nMonitor database capacity planning and growth forecasting.\n\nData Quality & Data Cleansing\nLead enterprise data quality improvement initiatives.\n\nAssess existing data sources and identify quality issues, duplicates, inconsistencies, and gaps.\n\nDevelop data cleansing standards, validation rules, and remediation processes.\n\nManage Master Data Management (MDM) activities for key business entities including Customers, Suppliers, Products, Bill of Material (BoM), Engineering Parts, Inventory items\n\nEstablish ongoing monitoring processes to sustain data integrity.\n\nData Migration & Transformation\nLead data migration workstreams for enterprise technology implementations.\n\nDefine migration strategies, methodologies, and governance controls.\n\nPerform data discovery, profiling, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.\n\nOversee migration of data into:\n\nProduct Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems\n\nEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems\n\nEngineering repositories\n\nManufacturing systems\n\nOther ad hoc business systems, Reporting and Analytics platforms\n\nDevelop migration templates, validation processes, and cutover plans.\n\nCoordinate migration testing including unit, integration, user acceptance, and production readiness testing.\n\nEnsure successful data conversion and post-go-live stabilisation.\n\nEnterprise System Integration\nDesign and support integrations between ERP, PLM, CRM, Manufacturing, Quality, and reporting systems.\n\nDefine data exchange standards and interface requirements.\n\nCollaborate with application owners and implementation partners to ensure data consistency across platforms.\n\nSupport API, ETL, middleware, and data integration initiatives\n\nReporting & Analytics Support\n\nPartner with business leaders to enable reliable reporting and analytics capabilities.\n\nEnsure data structures support operational reporting and business intelligence solutions.\n\nMaintain trusted data sources and reporting datasets.\n\nStakeholder Collaboration\nWork closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and IT teams.\n\nServe as the primary data subject matter expert during business transformation projects.\n\nProvide guidance on data-related risks, dependencies, and opportunities.\n\nHealth & Safety\nDemonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner.\n\nReport all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.\n\nWhen required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or related field.\n\nSkills and Experience\nEssential:\nSignificant experience in Data Architecture, Database Administration, Data Management, or related disciplines.\n\nProven track record of leading enterprise-wide data migration projects.\n\nStrong background in the implementation of ERP platforms, ideally SAP or a similar system.\n\nInvolvement in the delivery and support of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.\n\nKnowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance frameworks and best practices.\n\nUnderstanding of Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain data structures and models.\n\nDemonstrated capability in overseeing data cleansing, validation, and transformation activities.\n\nStrong knowledge of data management principles, including data modelling, governance, master data management, and data quality.\n\nFamiliarity with database technologies and cloud-based data platforms, such as SQL Server, MySQL, Azure SQL, or similar.\n\nProven capability in data integration, migration, and transformation activities, including ETL processes and API-based integrations.\n\nUnderstanding of enterprise business systems, including ERP and PLM platforms.\n\nExcellent stakeholder management, communication, and project delivery skills, with the ability to drive change and continuous improvement.\n\nA strategic and analytical mindset, with
