This position ensures that the team is aware of shipping timelines, provides status updates throughout the day and troubleshoots bottlenecks.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSet and follow Leader Standard Work daily\nComplete Start-Up Checks\nAssess manpower and break coverage continually with Value Stream Supervisor to ensure all timelines are maintained\nSupport the shipper/receiver on dock management and communication between plants and carriers on deliver times. Work through delivery delays and adjust schedules to support expedited items. \nConduct daily huddles with team to inform on progress and demands\nRegularly update cell board and dash boards and review operator efficiencies\nUtilize KPI metrics to compare actuals and to foster continuous improvement\nSupport operators with material needs, upcoming jobs and continuous coaching\nShips, receives, and records the movement of goods, materials, and inventory for a company\nAdminister and support cross training initiatives\nAdhere to Cam Tran safety policies and procedures\nPerform other duties as assigned\nThese are the kinds of qualities that tend to thrive in this role-and at Cam Tran in general:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent, with relevant manufacturing experience preferred.\nYou’re reliable, hands-on, and not afraid to get a little dirty\nYou enjoy working in a team and communicating with others\nYou’re curious, love learning, and eager to be cross-trained in different areas\nYou care about safety, live it, and know how to spot potential hazards\nYou enjoy figuring out how things work & troubleshooting when something’s off\nYou pay attention to the little things and take pride in your area\nYou can solve small problems on the fly and stay calm when things get busy\nYou’re not shy about asking questions or offering ideas to improve the team\nYou show up on time, pitch in wherever needed, and have your teammates’ backs\nYou’re comfortable with physical tasks and working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment\nRequirements\nQualifications:\nExperience leading a team in a manufacturing environment, preferred\nExperience working with multiple carrier companies.\nOperate a forklift, winch, or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.\nKnowledge of the product and plant operations.\nDemonstrated experience and knowledge in lean manufacturing systems, Production Control and Quality System.\nWorking Conditions:\n10-hour shifts with potential for overtime. \nTasks are repetitive. \nWork is conducted in an indoor manufacturing environment around various pieces of equipment.\nEnvironment can be hot during summer months.\nHeaving lifting is required occasionally.
