Start a career where You Matter by applying today!\nOverview:\nThe Lead Operator will be expected to lead operating personnel for safe and efficient operation of the chemical manufacturing area. The Lead Operator will be responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor with administration of day-to-day manpower, equipment and processing needs of the plant site. The Lead Operator will work closely with all departments to ensure timely shipment of quality products, meeting, or exceeding customer expectations. Shift work required.\nResponsibilities:\nEnsures assigned production area meets or exceeds all safety and quality requirements \nSchedules operations in a manner that prevents delays and efficiently utilizes manpower \nEnsures adherence to Standard Operating Procedures in all operations and activities \nTrains Operators and ensure coworkers are properly trained\nExercises proper care in the utilization of buildings, equipment and services \nPerforms simple laboratory tests on samples of in-process and waste materials to ensure proper operation and equipment function \nCoordinates operations with Maintenance Department to complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities for operations area\nMakes recommendations to improve yields and reduce waste, labor, materials, maintenance, handling and other costs\nActively work and collaborates with Process Engineering and Chemical Development Departments during the implementation of new products in the manufacturing area\nParticipates in the process evaluations with production superintendents or process engineers as assigned\nPerforms the job of an Operator as needed\nPerforms permissions and approvals in DCS and documents as delegated by supervisor\nAttends meetings with other departments (Maintenance, lab, engineering) to provide input on needs for the shift \nAll coworkers are required to adhere to DEA, EPA, FDA and cGMP regulations as they relate to the operation of the Company; and to adhere to all company safety rules and procedures.
