This is a hands-on role for an experienced IT engineer who is comfortable taking ownership of complex technical issues, leading small to medium-sized projects, and helping shape the ongoing development of the IT environment.\nResponsibilities\nTake ownership of IT support issues from initial triage through to resolution, particularly for more complex or higher-impact technical problems\nAct as a senior point of escalation across 2nd and 3rd line support, maintaining accountability for progress, communication and outcome\nLead the support, maintenance and continuous improvement of end-user computing, identity, networking and collaboration platforms\nAdminister, optimise and modernise the Microsoft estate, including Azure, SharePoint and Microsoft 365\nOwn and deliver small to medium-sized IT projects from scoping and planning through to implementation and handover\nIdentify opportunities to improve systems, processes and user experience, and take the initiative to deliver practical enhancements\nRequirements\nStrong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Windows 11 in a business environment\nsignificant experience in a professional IT environment, supporting users and infrastructure across a broad range of technologies\nSolid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi and SSO, with practical experience of firewalls, VPNs and troubleshooting connectivity issues\nProven ability to own and deliver technical projects, upgrades or service improvements from planning through to completion\nA proactive and well-organised approach to ticket and service management, with a focus on quality, responsiveness and follow-through\nStrong scripting or automation skills, such as PowerShell or Python, with experience improving operational efficiency through tooling\nExperience working with Azure or a comparable cloud platform, including exposure to cloud migration, modernisation or hybrid environments\nPreferred Qualifications/Experience\nExperience in fast-paced R&D or startup environments, with rapid prototype iteration times\nDefence or aerospace industry experience\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive compensation and stock options\nPrivate Medical & Dental\nCycle to work scheme\nLunchtime catering on site\nAbout Us\nThe mission of Cambridge Aerospace is to eliminate the risk of existential war in Europe.
