You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality assurance, and supply chain to ensure that manufacturing operations are efficient, scalable, and aligned with our client’s needs.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nProcess Development & Optimization:\nDesign and implement efficient manufacturing processes that meet product design requirements and quality standards.\nEvaluate existing manufacturing methods and identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and cost reduction.\nCross-Functional Collaboration:\nWork closely with our clients to translate product requirements into manufacturable solutions.\nProvide technical expertise during the transition from prototype to full-scale production.\nProject Management, Leadership & Coaching:\nLead projects from concept through to production, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution to a high quality standard.\nQuality & Compliance:\nDevelop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.\nDrive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues.\nInnovation & Continuous Improvement:\nStay abreast of emerging technologies and manufacturing trends, integrating best practices into our processes.\nSupplier & Equipment Management:\nCollaborate with suppliers and equipment vendors to select and implement the best technologies and materials.\nRequirements\nSkills and Attributes\nCurrent expertise in areas such as: design for high and low volume manufacture; design for reliability; transfer to manufacture; manufacturing process development; world class manufacturing principles\nProven track record of project management\nExcellent problem solving and analytical skills, using both data and insight to inform decision-making and prioritisation\nConfident communicator who can convey technical information effectively, and can influence clients and stakeholders at all levels.\nQuality-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nConfident working in a fast-paced environment\nWorking knowledge of MS Tools, and other office / creative packages\nEducation and Experience\nSignificant experience in a relevant product development discipline, gained in a technical/design consultancy, corporate innovation function, or equivalent.\nDegree-educated or equivalent in a relevant discipline.\nExperience from working in one of the following environments: technical/design consultancy; technology start-up; new product development/engineering department\nA track record of leading engineering / technology projects from concept through to delivery, taking responsibility for quality, time and cost\nBenefits\nCambridge Design Partnership (CDP) is an end-to-end innovation partner, propelling global brands and ambitious start-ups to success.
