Qualifications & Experience\nExperience\nMinimum 8+ years of experience in database development, administration, and management of large-scale operational and analytical databases.\nProven expertise in database design, data modeling, SQL query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.\nHands-on experience in designing and managing production-grade databases including:PostgreSQL/PostGIS\nMySQL\nOracle Database\nMongoDB\nCassandra\n\nStrong experience working with ETL/ELT processes, data integration frameworks, and workflow automation.\nExperience with cloud database platforms such as:AWS RDS\nAmazon Aurora\nAzure SQL Database\nGoogle Cloud SQL\n\nExposure to Python or R for data processing, automation, and analytics workflows.\nExperience managing large-volume datasets, preferably within geospatial, remote sensing, satellite imagery, or IoT environments.\nPrior experience working on Government, Public Sector, Smart City, GIS, or large enterprise projects is highly preferred.\nWorking knowledge of containerized environments and DevOps practices using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.\nDomain Knowledge\nUnderstanding of geospatial data structures, coordinate reference systems (CRS), projections, and spatial indexing techniques.\nFamiliarity with OGC, ISO metadata standards, and spatial database best practices.\nKnowledge of database security, high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance frameworks.\nCertifications (Mandatory/Preferred)\nRelevant certifications in one or more SQL workloads for performance and scalability.\nImplement partitioning, replication, caching, and indexing mechanisms for large datasets.\nOptimize spatial queries, geometry processing, and location-based analytics.\nGeospatial Data Management\nManage spatial and non-spatial datasets within enterprise GIS environments.\nMaintain metadata repositories and data catalogs adhering to OGC and ISO standards.\nSupport geospatial interoperability through APIs, web services, and GIS platforms.\nEnable efficient integration with web, mobile, and enterprise GIS applications.\nSecurity, Availability & Governance\nImplement role-based access control (RBAC), authentication, authorization, and data security policies.\nDesign and maintain backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability solutions.\nSupport disaster recovery planning and business continuity requirements.\nApply security patches, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation activities.\nConduct database audits and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.\nDevOps & Cloud Operations\nSupport cloud-native database deployments and hybrid infrastructure environments.\nCollaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD-enabled database deployment processes.\nImplement database monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.\nParticipate in infrastructure automation and containerized database deployments.\nSupport & Collaboration\nProvide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for database-related incidents and performance issues.\nCollaborate with application developers, data engineers, GIS specialists, and solution architects to implement robust data solutions.\nPrepare technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures.\nMentor junior team members and contribute to database
