They communicate clearly, uphold high customer service standards, and represent the community with a polished and respectful presence in a fast paced, high-end setting.\nSpecific Duties and Essential Functions\nConduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols (interior and exterior) to watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.\nMonitor CCTV and alarm systems to ensure constant site awareness.\nSound alarms or call police/fire departments immediately in the event of fire, medical emergencies, or the presence of unauthorized persons.\nRespond promptly to all incidents, emergencies, and disturbances on the property.\nPermit authorized persons to enter property by verifying guest/vendor credentials and monitoring all entrances and exits.\nWarn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, while ensuring all property rules and post orders are strictly enforced.\nInvestigate and prepare detailed reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.\nMaintain comprehensive daily activity logs to ensure all shift events are documented for management.\nProvide high-level customer service by aiding residents, members, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.\nAct as a visual deterrent to crime while maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons.\nLicensing\nPossess valid Florida Class D and G security licenses\nPossess valid Driver’s License\nMinimum Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n21 years of age or older\nAbility to pass background screening and drug test\nAbility to pass a mental health assessment\nReliable transportation\nSkills Required\nClear verbal and written communication skills\nActive listening skills\nAbility to assess and evaluate situations effectively\nAbility to identify critical issues quickly and accurately\nStrong customer service skills\nAbility to remain calm under pressure\nGood judgment and situational awareness\nProfessional appearance, demeanor, and attitude\nPreferred Qualifications\n1 year of experience in a gated country club environment performing patrol, gatehouse, and security dispatch duties\nExperience with alarm systems and responding to alarm activations\nExperience with ABDI gate access system\nExperience with Avigilon camera systems\nOther\nMust be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States\nMust be able to successfully complete all training required for the position\nPhysical Requirements & Work Environment\nIndoor and outdoor assignments. Exposure to various weather conditions\nMajor Activities: Extended standing, walking, and sitting. Listening, observing, communicating\nEnvironmental Exposure: Ability to perform duties in both indoor and outdoor settings. Must be capable of working in diverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain, for extended periods.\nHazardous Conditions: Occasional exposure to high-stress situations, including responding to emergencies or physical disturbances.\nStationary & Mobile Positions: Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing), walk for extended periods, traverse the property, or move between posts for the duration of an 8-hour shift, or as operationally required. Must be able to maintain constant alertness and professional posture throughout the assigned period.\nPatrol Requirements: Ability to continuously walk on various surfaces including pavement, grass, and uneven terrain while conducting interior and exterior rounds.\nEmergency Response: Must be able to react quickly to emergency situations, which may include running, climbing stairs, or navigating obstacles.\nSensory Abilities: Must have the visual acuity to monitor CCTV and observe surroundings, and the auditory ability to respond to alarms and communicate via two-way radio or telephone.\nPhysical Maneuverability: Frequent reaching; occasional squatting, kneeling, or stooping to inspect vehicles or property.\nLifting & Strength: Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds.
