They are tasked with the accurate and efficient processing of various sheet metal parts, while ensuring safety and adhering to the required quality standards.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\nOperates the press brake by setting up the machine, adjusting settings, and performing the bending.\nInterprets technical drawings to understand the desired shape, angle, and dimensions of the metal pieces.\nChooses the correct dies, punches, and other tools needed for the specific job.\nAdjusts machine settings for material thickness and bend angles.\nInspects finished pieces to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.\nIdentifies and resolves minor issues with the machine.\nMaintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.\nExecutes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform job successfully.\nFollows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.\nPerforms effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.\nTakes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.\nFollows all department quality standards/criteria.
