This position requires the inspector to perform the visual, dimensional, in-process, and finished good assembly inspections. Additionally, this position requires the inspector to be able to use data records, results, and measurements, to prepare various quality reports and documentations.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\nInspect and approves in-process products by confirming specifications and/or established standards.\n\nConduct visual and measurements tests and communicate required adjustments to production supervisor/manager.\n\nAble to report and document result of inspections including detailed description and discrepancies.\n\nAble to perform visual inspections of molded components and dimensional measurements on components and assemblies.\n\nAble to perform machine level, in-process, sub-assembly, and shipping inspections.\n\nAble to use the database for documenting inspection results with completed information and summary of re-work/reject/scrap and follow up information when needed.\n\nPerform audits and prepare reports under the instruction of supervisor/manager and document results.\n\nMaintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.\n\nExecute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.\n\nFollows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.\n\nPerforms effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.\n\nTakes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.\n\nFollow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.\n\nAble to understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture, display company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).\n\nUnderstands department’s key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.\n\nOther duties as needed or required.\n\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nMust have a working knowledge of inspection techniques, tools, and equipment such as gauges, meters, calipers, and micrometers.\n\nMust have very strong communication skills to work closely with team members, and external members.\n\nMust be able to work multiple shifts/departments within Cambro with efficiency as applicable to departmental needs and requirements.\n\nMust be able to demonstrate team building, positive attitude, and professionalism.\n\nCapability of good math skills.\n\nMust be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate\n\nMust have excellent communication skills (written and verbal- English).\n\nAbility to identify and resolve problems independently.\n\nMust have very strong communication skills to work closely with team members, and external members.\n\nMust be proficient utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access) as required.\n\nCapability of good math skills.\n\nAt least 1 year in a plastic manufacturing environment as a quality inspector\n\nAt least 1 year in textile related manufacturing environment as a quality inspector\n\nAbility to inspect Textile related products\n\nAbility to inspect start-up, in-process, and finished good products per existing standard/criteria\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nPlastic manufacturing experience, preferred.\n\nKnowledge of basic sampling theory, preferred.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
