This extensive infrastructure allows Camco to efficiently meet the diverse needs of its customers, solidifying its position as a leading aftermarket parts and accessories manufacturer in the fast-growing outdoor recreation market. Focused on the RV, Marine, and Camping sectors, Camco's influence in these industries is significant, as it continues to lead the charge with a relentless pursuit of excellence and a commitment to delivering top-notch products and services.\nJob Title: Product Manager\nOverview:\nCamco Manufacturing is building a dedicated upstream product management function within Engineering & Product Development. The Product Manager owns the intelligence, definition, and commercial positioning work that must precede engineering engagement - translating market opportunity, consumer insight, and business strategy into clear, actionable product briefs that enable the engineering team to execute with precision and speed.\nThis is a builder role in a function that is newly defined at Camco. The right person understands that product management is not portfolio administration - it is the upstream work that determines whether the engineering team is building the right things before they start building them. You will work within a structured NPD process operating on 12, 18, and 24-month development horizons, and your discovery and definition work will be the trigger that opens each project cycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nUpstream Product Definition - Primary Responsibility\nThis is the core of the role. Every active NPD project should begin with PM-completed discovery work. Without it, engineering executes against incomplete direction.\nDefine the product thesis for each assigned project: what the product is, who it is for, what problem it solves, and what it must deliver to succeed commercially\nComplete competitive landscape analysis and feature benchmarking before engineering engagement begins - understand what exists, where the gaps are, and how Camco's product must differentiate\nValidate consumer demand through voice-of-customer research, e-commerce review analysis, dealer and consumer engagement, and category trend data\nDevelop cost and pricing models that establish commercial viability and define the cost envelope for engineering\nProduce clear, complete product briefs that give engineering the direction needed to initiate design without ambiguity\nValidate commercial product offering opportunities and build implementation strategies\nPipeline Management & Prioritization\nOwn the product pipeline across assigned categories - managing projects in the 12, 18, and 24-month development horizons\nEnsure each pipeline project has PM discovery work completed before engineering resources are committed\nParticipate in pipeline planning and prioritization discussions with leadership to align discovery work with engineering capacity\nTrack stage-gate progression across the portfolio and surface blockers or off-sequence activities to leadership\nCross-Functional Engagement\nServe as the bridge between market intelligence and engineering execution - representing the commercial perspective throughout the development cycle\nCollaborate with Engineering, Product Implementation, and Quality to ensure product requirements are technically feasible and commercially sound\nEngage Sales and Marketing early and consistently - PM is accountable for ensuring the GTM plan reflects the product's designed value proposition\nMaintain active relationships with key retail partners, dealers, and OEM customers to stay connected to channel requirements and commercial dynamics\nGo-to-Market & Commercialization\nUnderstand go-to-market strategy for each assigned product: pricing, channel strategy, retail positioning, and launch sequencing\nCreate and maintain product documentation, competitive sell sheets, and sales enablement tools - PM is the authority on technical, commercial, and competitive differentiation for assigned products\nSupport trade show preparation, product training, and dealer engagement activities\nOwn post-launch review: analyze sell-through data, consumer feedback, warranty trends, and competitive response - and translate learnings into the next development cycle\nMarket Intelligence & Category Ownership\nMaintain ongoing awareness of the RV industry: consumer trends, emerging technologies, OEM and dealer dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitive activity\nMonitor e-commerce performance data, consumer reviews, and product ratings to identify product improvement opportunities and new category entries\nDevelop business cases for new product lines with market sizing, revenue projections, and ROI analysis - supported by data, not instinct\nTrack and report on portfolio performance: sales, margin, category trends, and competitive positioning\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of product management experience in physical consumer products; RV, automotive, marine, or adjacent aftermarket industries strongly preferred \nDemonstrated experience completing upstream product definition work - product briefs, competitive analysis, consumer research - before engineering engagement\nProven track record of bringing physical products from concept through commercial launch - including stage-gate or similar structured development processes \nExperience setting cost targets and pricing strategy in collaboration with engineering and commercial teams\nStrong analytical skills: comfortable with market sizing, financial modeling, sell-through analysis, and consumer data \nExcellent written and verbal communication - able to translate complex market intelligence into clear product direction for an engineering audience\nDemonstrated experience managing product lines - PLM, gap analysis, competitive opportunities\nBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field preferred\nCompensation and Benefits:\nWe offer a wide range of career opportunities with excellent benefits. Above all, we are looking for passionate, talented, hard-working, nice people with great taste to help us build this brand we love.\nCompetitive salary\n401k with company match\nParticipation in company health (medical, dental) insurance plans. Supplemental insurance offered\nPromote work/life balance including paid time off and paid holidays\nCamco is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to any characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law and are committed to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.","description_format":"text","description_chars":7303,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":5,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":true},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["401k plan"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Outdoor Sports","Precision Engineering"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-21T23:26:02Z"},{"event":"close","at":"2026-10-22T21:23:44Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":null,"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/camco-product-manager","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/camco-product-manager.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-23T02:14:04Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3681,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-24T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":3053421},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=3053421"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fcamco-product-manager"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fcamco-product-manager"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fcamco-product-manager"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/camco-product-manager\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fcamco-product-manager"}]}
