We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.\nThe Role\nAs a key leader within our Strategic Projects team in the Technical Services department, you will be responsible for the leadership, oversight and delivery of high-value, complex mining programs and studies across the organization. Operating from our corporate office in Saskatoon, you will partner closely with site operations, technical specialists, and external engineering partners to ensure alignment, quality execution, and effective integration of owner-side requirements. This role has significant scope and visibility, supporting large-scale mining initiatives.\nIn this role, you will:\nBe accountable for delivering projects that achieve defined business outcomes.\nLead, manage, and govern major uranium projects and studies, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, risk, and cost performance across the full lifecycle. \nOperate as the owner’s representative, providing direction, oversight, and integration across multiple internal technical groups, consultants, and external engineering partners. \nChampion program governance, decision-making frameworks, and consistent execution practices across all assigned projects. \nDevelop strong, trust-based relationships with operational leaders, corporate functions, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders. \nSupport strategic planning, project prioritization, and alignment of technical programs with business objectives. \nEnsure program-level risks, interfaces, and dependencies are well understood, managed, and communicated to leadership. \nStrengthen organizational capability by applying modern project delivery techniques, and digital project tools. \nRequired:\ndiploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field; \nminimum 10+ years of progressive project management experience, including significant involvement in large-scale mining, industrial, or manufacturing projects;\nequivalent combination of education and work experience considered; \nproven experience working on the owner side of major projects, including oversight of consultants and engineering partners;\ndemonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with creativity, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused mindset;\nability to build trust and positive relationships with internal and external partners in dynamic and challenging environment;\nstrong communication, facilitation, and leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority; and\noccasional travel to site locations by aircraft when required.\nRecommended:\nPMP certification, professional engineering designation, or other relevant professional credentials (or ability to obtain);\nexperience executing all stages of the project lifecycle, from initiation and study development through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations integration;\ndirect experience with underground mining operations or processing plant environments; \nfamiliarity with modern digital project management platforms and LEAN/continuous improvement methodologies; and\nexperience operating in a corporate environment with regular site interface and travel.\nConditions of Employment:\npre-employment substance test; and\nbackground check.\nCameco is proud to offer a competitive total reward package which includes:\n\ncompetitive compensation program with base and variable pay;\nflexible health, drug, dental, and vision plan with a health spending and personal spending account;\nfixed benefits including employee and dependant life, AD&D, disability benefits and paid vacation leave;\nEmployee and Family Assistance Programs;\nRRSP and RPP matching program;\ncareer development opportunities; and\nrelocation costs.\nCameco is an employment equity employer and aims to achieve gender parity, and as such, preference will be given to qualified members of equity groups.
