The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.\nPosition and Responsibilities\nTroubleshoot, repair and maintain packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) units, kitchen appliances, walk in coolers, freezers, makeup air units, air handling units, furnaces, and split systems. \nTroubleshoot refrigeration components and systems to identify and resolve operational issues. \nInstall new refrigeration and related equipment as required.\nHandle, recover and store refrigerants following safe handling requirements ozone depleting substances. \nFollow and comply with all corporate environmental, health, and safety policies and standards related to the trade.\nMust be able to work outside under adverse conditions.\nMust be comfortable with working at heights.\nEducation and Qualifications\nRequirements of the position:\nminimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent;\nvalid class 5 driver's license;\nvalid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson refrigeration mechanic certification; \nrelevant ammonia-based refrigeration work experience in a commercial/industrial setting;\nhalocarbon reclamation certificate; and\nwork a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.\nAssets:\ncurrently hold or have the ability to obtain a valid Saskatchewan refrigeration engineer certification;\nSAP, SIGGA, Bentley software experience; and\nSaskatchewan General Gas license.\nConditions of Employment:\ntrade verification; and\npre-employment substance test.\nSafety Sensitive Site\nThis position is eligible for the employee referral bonus.\nReq ID #: 42499\nRate per hour: 68.08\nPosted: October 6, 2026\nPosting end date: October 27, 2026\nVacancies identified within a unionized work location will be governed by the respective collective bargaining agreement.
