We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.\nThe Role\nCameco’s business technology services (BTS) department provides vital services to world-wide operations utilizing a variety of technologies to support key operations. The Information Management Student will support Cameco's Records Management and SharePoint team in managing both physical and electronic information assets. This position provides hands-on experience in records management, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and information governance while contributing to projects that support regulatory compliance and efficient information access across the organization.\nThe successful candidate will work with records analysts and SharePoint specialists to organize, maintain, and improve the management of corporate information throughout its lifecycle.\nIn this role, you will:\nAssist with the organization, inventory, and maintenance of physical records.\nPrepare records for storage, retrieval, transfer, and destruction according to established retention schedules.\nSupport records management projects involving the digitization and migration of information.\nAssist with document classification, metadata tagging, and quality assurance activities.\nSupport SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists, and document repositories.\nHelp maintain document management structures, content types, metadata, and retention settings.\nAssist in developing user guides, procedures, and training materials.\nSupport data cleanup and information governance initiatives.\nResearch and recommend improvements to records and information management processes.\nRequired:\nyou are a third-or fourth-year university student currently enrolled in computer science, information management, library and information studies, or a related program;\nyou must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.\nRecommended:\nexperience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365. \nKnowledge of records management principles and retention schedules\nExperience working with document management systems\nUnderstanding of metadata, taxonomy, or information governance concepts\nConditions of Employment:\nCriminal record background check.\nCameco is an employment equity employer and aims to achieve gender parity, and as such, preference will be given to qualified members of equity groups.
