We have mining operations and projects in northern Saskatchewan, Kazakhstan, the United States and Australia. We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.\nThe Role\nWorking with the technical services, strategic projects group at the corporate office in Saskatoon, you will provide technical support in the areas of process engineering and metallurgy for the northern Saskatchewan operations and other corporate groups.\nIn this role, you will:\nUtilize Cameco’s AVEVA PI data system to analyze process data and support the development of applications, dashboards, and other tools.\nPerform process data analysis to support troubleshooting, process optimization, and operational improvement initiatives.\nSupport capital project development by performing data analysis, design calculations, and other process engineering deliverables. \nSupport process sampling campaigns and on-site process optimization test work at the northern Saskatchewan mining and milling sites.\nAssist with other process engineering and metallurgy initiatives within technical services and site operations.\nRequired:\nyou will be entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in chemical, process, or metallurgical engineering or a related field;\noccasional travel to site as projects require; and\nyou must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.\nRecommended:\nexperience in industrial plant environments;\nexperience with AVEVA PI system or related data analytics and visualization tools; and\nexposure to basic lab techniques and testing procedures.\nConditions of Employment:\npre-employment substance test.\nCameco is an employment equity employer and aims to achieve gender parity, and as such, preference will be given to qualified members of equity groups.
