We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.\nThe Role\nAs part of Cameco’s Supply Chain Management team, you will gain hands-on experience supporting sourcing and procurement activities across Canadian operations. You will work with internal teams and suppliers while developing practical skills in purchasing, supplier management, and procure-to-pay processes.\nIn this role, you will:\nassist with sourcing materials and equipment, including supporting RFQ and RFP activities and procurement documentation.\nsupport purchase order creation and expediting in SAP while monitoring supplier delivery performance.\nassist with contract documentation, supplier onboarding, supplier records, and resolving blocked invoices.\nfollow procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls while supporting efficient procure-to-pay processes.\ncollaborate with procurement professionals and internal stakeholders, contributing to continuous improvement while building practical supply chain experience.\nRequired:\nYou are a university student currently enrolled in commerce, preference being supply chain management majors; \nYou must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco;\nStrong aptitude for computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel);\nAbility to evaluate alternatives, identify improvement opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives; and\nStrong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.\nRecommended:\nExperience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Power BI and, reporting systems; and\nAbility to use AI software.\nCameco is an employment equity employer and aims to achieve gender parity, and as such, preference will be given to qualified members of equity groups.
