Utilities around the world rely on Cameco's uranium fuel to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power.\nThe Role\nReporting to the senior structural integrity engineer, you will support structural integrity activities across Cameco’s operations while gaining practical experience in reliability and structural engineering. You will work alongside experienced engineering, maintenance, and operations professionals to help support the inspection, monitoring, and safe management of structural assets throughout their life cycle.\nIn this role, you will:\nassist with structural integrity inspections and condition monitoring activities of buildings, structures other infrastructure.\nsupport the development and maintenance of inspection plans, records, and structural integrity documentation.\nparticipate in structural inspections and work with engineering teams to document observations, inspection findings, and asset conditions.\nassist with documenting inspection findings, reviewing inspection and monitoring data and identifying items that may require further engineering assessment.\nhelp organize and analyze asset information to support risk-based prioritization and long-term maintenance and lifecycle planning.\ncollaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and Technical Services teams while gaining exposure to structural integrity practices in an industrial environment.\ncontribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to structural asset inspection, monitoring, and reliability.\nRequired:\nYou are entering your third or fourth year of university and are currently enrolled incivil engineering;\nStrong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills;\nValid Class 5 driver’s license; \nAbility to travel to northern Saskatchewan or Ontario operations as required; and\nYou must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.\nRecommended:\nKnowledge/interest in structural design and assessment standards (e.g., ASCE 11, CSA S850, ACI assessment standards, CSA S16, CSA A23.3, CSA S6 or equivalent).\nConditions of Employment:\nPre-employment substance test; and\nClass 5 driver’s license. \nCameco is an employment equity employer and aims to achieve gender parity, and as such, preference will be given to qualified members of equity groups.
