Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, you will drive manufacturing excellence through process improvements, lean initiatives, and the successful introduction of new products into production.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, improving efficiency, and working in a fast-paced environment supporting electro-mechanical products used by critical infrastructure customers worldwide.\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to improve product manufacturing and production efficiency.\nDrive best-in-class manufacturing practices across Health & Safety, Quality, and Operational performance.\nSupport the introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles are embedded from the outset.\nLead Lean Manufacturing, flow optimization, and 3S/5S improvement initiatives across production.\nDevelop and implement production layouts based on lean manufacturing principles.\nDrive productivity, quality, and cost-reduction projects within the manufacturing environment.\nIdentify, design, and maintain production jigs, fixtures, tooling, and assembly aids.\nInvestigate manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nSupport inventory reduction and waste minimization initiatives.\nSupport TWI implementation (KATA, JI, SWARMS)\nMaintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process documentation, and standards.\nSupport operational excellence programmes and continuous improvement activities.\nEnsure production tooling, equipment, and calibration systems are maintained and fit for purpose.\nQualifications & Skills - Essential Criteria\nDegree qualified or HND/ HNC in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline\nExperience working within a technical manufacturing, production, or engineering environment.\nExperience supporting electromechanical assembly and test processes.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.\nStrong problem-solving skills with experience of root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.\nExperience of working within Health & Safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.\nGood IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.\nDesirable Criteria\nExperience within electronics, electrical, industrial technology, or electromechanical manufacturing environments.\nExperience leading Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or process improvement projects.\nKnowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.\nExperience with NCR, CAPA, RCA, 8D, or similar problem-solving methodologies.\nExperience supporting inventory reduction, process optimisation, or production efficiency initiatives.\nExposure to TWI, KATA, SWARMs, or operational excellence programmes.\nExperience developing manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and assembly aids.\nUnderstanding of production test equipment and calibration requirements.\nOur Values\nWe work together\nWe believe in people\nWe won’t accept the ‘way it has always been done’\nWe listen to learn\nWe’re trying to do the right thing\nWide ranging benefits package beyond competitive salary -
