As of now, Camlin operates in over 20 countries worldwide.\nWhat to expect day to day\nThe Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is a key contributor responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing cutting-edge electro-mechanical products for the Energy Utilities and Renewables industries. As a senior member of the Mechanical Engineering team, you will lead development of complex industrial products, provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, and ensure our products meet stringent performance and quality standards.\nResponsibilities:\nLead development, testing and evaluation of mechanical designs for the Energy industry in accordance with Camlin NPI process, while complying with industry standards and regulations.\nLead Design-to-Cost and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) initiatives across mechanical products and assemblies, identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce material, manufacturing, assembly, and supply chain costs while maintaining product performance, quality, reliability, and compliance requirements.\nApply sound knowledge of engineering principles to evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical products.\nMentor engineers, providing technical guidance, best practices, and support for skill development.\nCreate, review and maintain engineering drawings, technical specifications and test plans in accordance with Camlin best practice.\nCreate, review and maintain Bills of Materials (BoM) and work with Purchasing to identify appropriate suppliers.\nEnsure that products will perform consistently in specified operating environments, meeting Camlin quality and customer expectations.\nLead collaboration with other engineering functions, and other departments including the Operations team.\nConduct design reviews, design evaluations, and testing to uphold high-quality standards.\nProactively challenge and drive the organisation to continually improve quality and performance of engineering design.\nPlan and manage own work with limited supervision and provide estimates of engineering costs and timescales to support business needs.\nEssential Requirements:\nA minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, or practical work experience commensurate to a 3rdlevel education.\nA minimum of 7 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering environment with a focus on product design and development, including experience leading complex design projects through the full product lifecycle.\nExperience with sheet metal and fabricated assembly design and sound understanding of related manufacturing and assembly processes.\nExperience designing electro-mechanical assemblies for use in harsh environments;
