Under direct supervision and with support from experienced team members, this position will assist with the day-to-day administration of broad-based compensation programs, data, processes, and analysis.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR or compensation professional to gain hands-on experience in compensation practices, HR systems, data analysis, and total rewards while working alongside an experienced team.\nThis position will be located in Lincolnshire and/or Chicago, IL.\nCompensation Responsibilities\nAssist with the administration and communication of base pay, incentive, and other compensation programs.\nSupport review of pending compensation approvals for offers and pay changes to ensure alignment with established salary ranges and internal equity. Contacts leadership for approval when outside of established guidelines.\nAssist with regular audits of employee compensation data to help ensure compliance with applicable minimum hourly rates and salary thresholds.\nMonitor compensation-related regulatory changes and assist with coordinating updates with applicable departments.\nAudit employee data in Workday for accuracy and completeness, including compensation and job profile information.\nReview payroll reports and compare employee data between Workday and ADP. Make appropriate Workday adjustments and communicate to payroll changes.\nSupport routine compensation-related data updates in Workday, including job profiles, compensation grades, salary ranges, and related information.\nAssist with testing new and existing Workday business processes and document results for review by the appropriate team members.\nSupport job evaluations and compensation analyses by gathering market data and reviewing internal equity information. Provide recommendations on FLSA exemption statuses and short-term incentive targets when applicable. Submits recommendations to management for review and approval.\nParticipate in external compensation salary and policy/practice surveys.\nAssist in preparing compensation-related communications, presentations, and training materials.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nCritical Success Factors\nDemonstrates an interest in compensation, total rewards, HR analytics, or related areas.\nCollaborative, organized, and process-oriented approach to daily work.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nAbility to learn new systems, processes, and concepts quickly.\nComfortable asking questions, seeking guidance, and learning from experienced team members.\nAbility to work with data and identify discrepancies or potential issues.\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in developing those skills further.\nClear and professional written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.\nDemonstrates a high degree of integrity and maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.\nInterest in efficiency, technology, automation, and improving processes is a plus.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor's degree or minimum 2 years’ compensation experience.\nPrevious experience in compensation, human resources, payroll, data analysis, or a related area preferred.\nFamiliarity with compensation concepts, pay practices, or HR processes is a plus.\nExposure to data analysis, reporting, or project-based work through coursework, internships, or professional experience preferred.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nExperience with an HRIS such as Workday or ADP is a plus, but not required.\nAbility and willingness to learn new systems and tools.\nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift 15 pounds at times.\nUp to 5% travel may be required.\nGeneral Compensation Disclosure\nThe pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated.
