In this role, you will perform general maintenance and repairs to ensure that school buildings and facilities remain in excellent condition. Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain school buildings and facilities.
- Perform general maintenance using basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, appliance repair, and electrical wiring.
- Complete set-ups and tear-downs for scheduled campus events.
- Operate and maintain tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities.
- Perform on-call duties as needed/assigned.
- Remove snow with shovels, blowers, and plows when necessary.
- Provide logistical support for campus activities, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with fire drills, lockdowns, and other safety exercises.
- Help manage traffic flow and parking on campus.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience in general maintenance or building trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible, friendly, with good communication and time management skills.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds, work from ladders, and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and crawling.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk long distances across campus.
- Experience in CMMS software program(s)
- Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching
- Requires climbing and balancing
- Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.
- Must provide a criminal background check.
