Ensures that all products and processes meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality objectives. This role involves managing quality systems, conducting audits, analyzing defects, driving continuous improvement, and supporting production teams in problem-solving to achieve zero-defect manufacturing.\nThis position will also assist with the creation, revision and delivery of procedures and work instructions and support facilitation of training as needed by the Quality Manager.\nPosition Tasks:\nResponsible for ensuring compliance in the following areas:\n· Provide leadership and mentorship to QA Technicians.\n· Responsible for all employee related matters including but not limited to performance, absenteeism and other workplace related concerns.\n· Participates in the talent acquisition process and procedures to ensure successful hiring and onboarding of all new employees to the team.\n· Perform audits on personnel, processes and systems to identify the risks due to variance.\nMeasure the development & implementation of SWI initiatives based on trends and prioritization and then audit for effectiveness.\nIdentify deficiencies in work instructions and collaborates with subject matter experts to create, revise, and/or update.\nAudit Safety initiatives that are being developed and then assist with the reporting and implementation of any modifications.\nIdentify trending on Quality by periodic analysis of NCR’s and Warranty.\nProvide coaching to operators as it relates to audits and training initiatives.\nParticipate on regular QMS Internal audits; \nAssist and support the QA Technicians’ daily transformer testing/inspections and monitoring activities.\nMeet regularly with all teams; participate in weekly Huddles, LOS, Financial reviews and the monthly QMR.\nAdheres to Cam Tran Safety policies and procedures. \n· NCR creation and corrective actions.\nLead Customer and Supplier issues from NCR issuance through problem solving and effective closure.\nData Gathering & Analysis, prepare quality performance reports (scrap, rework, defect trends, KPI dashboards, all Quality Metrics).\nAssist in internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.\nPrepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, FMEA, and control plans.\nPerform transformer failure teardowns and root cause analysis for in-house failures / warranty returns.\n· Other duties as assigned.\nSkills:\nAbility to communicate effectively to provide direction and opportunities for improvement to stakeholders.\nAbility to communicate work instructions and procedures to line operators to facilitate training. \nAbility to read drawings and wiring diagrams.\nWell organized with a high level of time management skills.\nAbility to utilize knowledge and experience to exercise discretion and judgement. \nAble to work in a team environment\n· Quality Tools & Methods: Root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa), SPC, MSA, process capability studies\n· Auditing: Internal audits + experience working with or auditing suppliers\n· Experience with measurement devices, calibration, validation of first parts / sample approvals\nRequirements\nElectrical Engineering Degree or Technologist diploma or equivalent experience and knowledge.\nMinimum of 5 years-experience in Electrical (Transformers) manufacturing environment preferred.\nLeadership ability to act as a facilitator and trainer in on-the-floor environment.\nA high level of experience with LEAN concepts considered an asset.\nMust possess good computer skills with experience in Excel, Word.
