The role ensures that all purchases are cost-effective, meet quality standards, and comply with contractual obligations, while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety, and environmental regulations.\n\nPROCUREMENT STRATEGY & PLANNING:\n\nDevelop and implement procurement strategies for the construction of towers, including identifying cost-effective sourcing options, supply chain optimization, and long-term vendor partnerships.\n\nPlan, organize, and oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.\n\nCoordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine project requirements and procurement timelines.\n\nSUPPLIER & VENDOR MANAGEMENT:\n\nIdentify and select suppliers and subcontractors that provide high-quality materials and services within budget constraints.\n\nNegotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure favorable pricing, quality, delivery, and service.\n\nBuild and maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify potential new suppliers to improve procurement opportunities.\n\nConduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with contract terms, quality standards, and safety regulations.\n\nCOST CONTROL & BUDGET MANAGEMENT:\n\nDevelop procurement budgets and monitor expenditures, ensuring that all purchases are within approved project budgets.\n\nImplement cost-saving initiatives, such as negotiating better pricing, bulk purchases, or alternative materials.\n\nTrack and manage procurement costs to achieve cost reductions while maintaining quality standards.\n\nCONTRACT MANAGEMENT:\n\nOversee the preparation, review, and execution of procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.\n\nEnsure timely delivery of all materials and services in accordance with contractual terms, and handle any disputes or issues with vendors or subcontractors.\n\nMaintain accurate records of all procurement contracts, purchase orders, and related documentation.\n\nINVENTORY & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT\n\nMonitor inventory levels of materials and equipment, ensuring that they are available when needed to avoid project delays.\n\nCollaborate with the project team to forecast material requirements and coordinate the timely delivery of materials to construction sites.\n\nEnsure proper storage and handling of materials and equipment to avoid damage, waste, or loss.\n\nRISK MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE:\n\nEnsure procurement activities comply with legal, environmental, and safety regulations, and that all suppliers adhere to ethical sourcing practices.\n\nManage risks related to supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and availability of materials, developing contingency plans as needed.\n\nStay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.\n\nREPORTING & DOCUMENTATION:\n\nMaintain detailed records of all procurement activities, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.\n\nProvide regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and project progress to senior management and stakeholders.\n\nAssist in preparing audits and reviews of procurement practices to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.\n\nKowledge & Skills required\nStrong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.\n\nExcellent organizational and multitasking abilities.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain management.\n\nAbility to manage budgets and control costs while maintaining quality.\n\nProficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).\n\nUnderstanding of construction regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.\n\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\n\nTraining & Qualifications required\n5 or more years of senior supply management experience\n\nOperational management experience, or experience in the primary service delivery of the organization is typical\n\nProcurement consulting (i.e., partner level for many years)\n\nThe sell-side of a large supplier segment\n\nThe biggest requirement, though, is a proven track record of delivering large savings and other value to large swaths of spend via a strong team of employees.
