The position also contributes to training and development initiatives, recruitment support, employee relations, HR administration, employee inquiries, and other ongoing HR programs.\nThe successful candidate will be highly organized, approachable, comfortable working with technology, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nCoordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for employees, from offer acceptance through the first 30 days of employment.\nServe as a primary point of contact for new hires and provide guidance throughout the onboarding process.\nEnsure all required new hire documentation is accurately completed, collected, verified, and maintained.\nCoordinate and support new hire orientations, including scheduling, communications, materials, and access to required systems.\nPartner with Hiring Managers to ensure new employees are prepared for their first day and departmental onboarding requirements are completed.\nConduct applicable background checks and follow up on outstanding documentation or required information.\nMaintain accurate onboarding, recruitment, and training records and trackers.\nSupport the development, coordination, and administration of employee training programs and learning initiatives.\nMaintain accurate training records, certifications, and compliance documentation.\nAssist with training-related reporting, audits, and recordkeeping.\nSupport employee recognition, engagement, and other Human Resources programs and initiatives.\nProvide support with recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, and other Human Resources activities as required.\nPerform other related Human Resources duties as assigned.\nQualifications\n3-5 years of HR experience, including a strong understanding of recruitment.\nExperience with onboarding and orientation is considered an asset.\nPrevious experience in hospitality, retail, manufacturing, or another fast-paced environment is preferred.\nStrong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR practices.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence facilitating training or orientation sessions for groups.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.\nCPHR designation or candidacy is considered an asset.\nOur benefits to support your success:\nRRSP matching contributions up to 3% of an employee's pre-tax salary.\nComprehensive Group Benefit Program featuring Extended Health Care.\nContinued education assistance, Scholarships.\nParticipation in the Employee Canadvantage Rewards Program.\nDiscounts on food and beverages through the Canadvantage Employee Food & Beverage Discount, applicable to restaurants, room rates for both employees and their guests.\nCanad Inns Meal Plan, providing one complimentary meal per working day.\nEmployee Engagement Events such as Staff BBQs, Holiday Parties, Sporting Events, Contests, Prize Draws, and more.\nEmployee Referral Program.\nWellness Benefits, including discounts for fitness facilities and access to the Employee Assistance Program.\nCareer Growth Opportunities.\nAbout Canad Inns:\nCanad Inns is Manitobas premier Hospitality Service Provider, with a presence in Winnipeg, Brandon, Portage la Prairie, and Grand Forks.
