In Bedford, Nova Scotia.\nIn addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components, Strescon also operates a 32,000 sq. ft. facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems, such as pipe, manholes and catch basins.\nResponsibilities\nPerform electrical and mechanical maintenance on all production and facility equipment and systems\nAssist with troubleshooting all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems\nTroubleshooting PLC Programs and Programmable Controllers\nConduct equipment inspections as required or as outlined by the preventative maintenance schedule to detect and diagnose issues\nReport detailed records of work performed to Management\nContribute to plant upgrades and improvements\nRequirements\nMust hold a valid provincial certification as a Journeyman Electrician\nJourneyman Industrial Mechanic/Millwright or equivalent experience is considered an asset\n5 to 7 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment\nStrong troubleshooting/problem solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate\nStrong Electrical and PLC experience is essential\nExperience in the maintenance of overhead cranes is considered an asset\nWelding tickets considered an asset\nAvailable to work shifts on a flexible basis including short notice of overtime\n\nAs a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Strescon Limited offers a comprehensive compensation package including health and dental coverage, life insurance, RRSP and tax-free savings account options.
