In Bedford, Nova Scotia.\nIn addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components, Strescon also operates a 32,000 sq. ft. facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems, such as pipe, manholes and catch basins\nJob Summary\nThis position is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily precast concrete production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing. Lead production teams, manage schedules and resources, enforce safety standards, coordinate with engineering and quality control departments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer and project requirements.\nResponsibilities\nSupervise and coordinate daily production activities within the precast concrete plant\nBe responsible for production output and product quality, including daily reviews of production with the Plant Superintendent and other relevant departments.\nAllocate, Lead, train, coach, and support production employees\nEnforce company safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and promote a strong safety culture\nInvestigate production issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve performance\nWork closely with Quality Control personnel to ensure products meets company and customer specifications\nManage employee attendance, assist with scheduling, and overtime requirements.\nAdditional duties as assigned\nTechnical Requirements\nTwo - Year Civil Engineering Technician diploma, Construction Management Technician diploma, and/or a Civil Engineering degree or relevant amount of education and experience\nExperience supervising manufacturing, industrial, construction, or precast concrete operations.\nStrong leadership and team management skills\nKnowledge of occupational health and safety regulations\nStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills\nRelevant safety experience in an industrial/unionized environment ideally within the Construction Industry considered an asset.\nStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs\nBusiness Requirement s\nEffective communication with all levels of management\nA detail-oriented focus with strong analytical expertise\nDrive to achieve results that meet and maintain safety, quality and accuracy\nAs a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Strescon Limited offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including health and dental coverage, life insurance and RRSP options.
