This role leverages Power BI to provide actionable insights across Claims, Underwriting, Agency, Finance, and Operations.\nThe ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Power BI, SQL development, and Azure-based analytics platforms, along with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, governed data and visualization solutions. Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong technical BI capabilities.\nThis position follows an onsite work model and requires regular in-office collaboration with business and technology teams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nData & Guidewire Integration\nDesign and develop reporting solutions leveraging data from Policy, Claims, Billing, Agency Management systems, and third-party data sources\nBuild reusable semantic and data models to support enterprise analytics\nCollaborate closely with business stakeholders and Data Engineering teams on ETL/ELT processes and curated data layer integration \nBI & Visualization Development\nDevelop interactive dashboards and reports using:Power BI\n\nBuild executive level dashboards (Senior Leadership Team ready views, SLT-ready views) \nDevelop operational dashboards across the enterprise \nImplement row-level security (RLS) and role-based access controls.\n\nTranslate business KPIs into structured, reusable data models \nPartner with Claims, Underwriting, and Finance stakeholders to refine and standardize metrics \nDesign and deliver cloud-based BI solutions on Azure, leveraging Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Power BI to enable scalable, secure analytics. \nBuild and optimize semantic models and dashboards using Power BI, integrating data from Azure platforms with strong performance, governance, and cost efficiency. \nDevelop complex Power BI dashboards and reports leveraging advanced DAX, Power Query, and enterprise data modeling techniques.\n\nData Modeling & Architecture\nDesign and implement star schemas for reporting and analytics \nDevelop advanced DAX calculations and measures in Power BI \nOptimize report performance through query tuning and aggregation strategies \nEnsure data lineage, governance, and metric consistency \nSupport Medallion architecture (Raw → Silver → Gold) \nLeverage Copilot and other LLM tools to enable self-service analytics and reporting\nDevelop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and datasets to support reporting and analytics.\nPerform query tuning and optimization to improve reporting performance and scalability.\nGovernance & Quality\nPerform data validation and reconciliation against source systems \nImplement and support data quality checks \nSupport audit and regulatory reporting requirements \nDocument data definitions, transformations, and business logic \nRequired Qualifications:\nTechnical Skills:\n5+ years of experience in BI / Data Analytics development \nStrong hands-on Power BI Experience, including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, and Power Query\nStrong SQL skills (complex joins, window functions, performance tuning)\nExperience with Azure data and analytics platforms, including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and SQL Server.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Guidewire DataHub / InfoCenter \nExperience within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry.\n\nExperience working with large insurance datasets\nExperience with ETL tools such as ADF, SSIS, Informatica, or similar \nExperience supporting AMS or modernization programs \nFamiliarity with Data Governance and MDM concepts \nExperience supporting Digital / Transformation initiatives \nSoft Skills:\nStrong
