This role requires travelling throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of USA.\nAs a member of our team, your responsibilities include:\nCoordinate with plant coordinators (steel delivery, steel deck, joists, hardware), steel erectors (daily requests), and project managers.\nAttend field meeting with other trades and summarize to the project manager.\nCoordinate with the detailing/engineering department - field works, revision of drawings, clarifications (missing details).\nAccept erection drawings (follow-up on acceptance dates).\nFollow-up with transportation for deliveries issues.\nReception of materials and hardware (validate all delivery slips).\nDaily site report (daily log - plan grid).\nAssist the steel erector in repair requests (field work and deficiencies).\nQuality control, visual only.\nAssist health and safety coordinators.\nAttend and participate in, on and off-site meetings; including, but not limited to, health and safety meetings.\nUpdate daily site progress in Smartsheet.\nMonitor schedules and update on a daily basis. Communicate with various stakeholders and the general contractor.\nManage on-site record-keeping, including but not limited to, daily site specific hazard assessments.\n The successful candidate will possess:\nConstruction trade journeyman certificate or diploma.\nThree (3) to five (5) years of construction site supervision experience.\nAbility to read structural shop drawings, layouts and erection drawings is a must.\nThorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.\nAn autonomous results-oriented aptitude, with the ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities.\nKnowledge and understanding of construction schedules and Gantt charts.\nExceptional organizational abilities.\nEnglish communication skills (verbal and written).\nProficiency in computer system and software (Google Workspace).\nSuperior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.)\nAbility to apply innovative and effective supervision and management techniques to maximize sub-trade performance.\n Company Description\nSince 1960, Canam has been an employer with a strong, unifying and family culture, rallying its 5,100 employees.
