Canam’s strong emphasis on offering customized solutions to our customers is reflected in our mission statement “The pursuit of a better customer experience.”\n Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial data to produce accurate and timely financial reports according to the principles of IFRS.\nEssential Functions:\nReconcile and record weekly payroll transactions and related month-end journal entries.\nReconcile and analyze monthly sales tax activities to support compliance processes.\nAssist with submission of required financial reporting to the parent company.\nParticipate in the improvement of assigned accounting processes and procedures.\nAssist with related audits and preparation of audit schedules and requests from auditors.\nPerform other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.\n Required Skills:\nB.S. Degree, or equivalent, from a four-year college or technical school\nMinimum of 2 years accounting experience \nProficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills\nGood organizational skills to ensure timely goal completion and accurate reporting\nPreferred Skills:\nKnowledge of IFRS, applicable laws, and regulations\nExperience with Vertex\nPhysical Demands:\nRegularly required to sit, stand; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to talk and hear. Seldom lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
