This role supports health and welfare, retirement, leave, wellness, and international benefit offerings, partnering with global HR, brokers, Finance, Payroll, HRIS, and in-country vendors to help maintain competitive, compliant, and cost-effective programs across our regions of operation.\nThe ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, service-focused benefits professional who can translate complex benefit concepts clearly, manage multiple priorities, and use data to support sound program and renewal decisions in a fast-paced, global environment.\nKey Responsibilities and Deliverables\nDomestic Benefits Administration\nAdminister group health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and voluntary benefit programs.\nServe as the first point of escalation for employee benefit inquiries and claims issues.\nSupport annual open enrollment, including system configuration, communications, vendor file testing, and enrollment data audits\nSupport compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and applicable state and local requirements.\nAdminister leave of absence programs, track eligibility and return-to-work status, and coordinate case management with employees, managers, and third-party administrators.\nPartner with Payroll and HRIS to maintain accurate leave coding, benefits continuation, and premium billing for employees on unpaid leave.\nMaintain required documentation and support regulatory filings, audits, and reporting, including Form 5500, summary plan documents, and ACA reporting.\nReconcile monthly benefit invoices and resolve billing discrepancies with carriers.\nInternational Benefits\nSupport international benefit programs in partnership with global brokers, PEOs/EORs, and in-country providers.\nAssist with market benchmarking, plan renewals, employee communications, and plan documentation for non-U.S. benefit programs.\nSupport expatriate and mobile employee benefit arrangements under guidance.\nEscalate local labor law changes affecting benefits to senior team members and regional HR.\nAnalysis, Reporting, and Vendor Partnership\nAnalyze plan utilization, cost trends, and claims experience to support renewal recommendations.\nMaintain dashboards and reports on benefit costs, participation, and return on investment for leadership review.\nSupport market benchmarking, cost modeling, budgeting, accruals, and forecasting in partnership with Finance.\nSupport relationships with brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, and international benefit vendors, including RFP processes and plan changes.\nCollaborate with Payroll, Legal, and HRIS teams to ensure accurate data flow and system integration.\nEmployee Communication and Education\nDevelop clear, engaging communications and training materials for domestic and international employees.\nConduct benefits orientation sessions and respond to employee questions with a service-oriented approach.\nQualifications and Experience\nBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nThree to five years of experience in benefits administration or analysis.\nWorking knowledge of U.S. benefits compliance, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and state or local paid leave requirements.\nStrong Excel and analytical skills, with experience using an HRIS platform such as Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, or a similar system.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex benefit concepts clearly to employees at all levels.\nHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skills across multiple concurrent initiatives.\nMust be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.\nPreferred Distinctions\nCEBS or CBP certification, completed or in progress.\nExperience with leave management systems or third-party leave administrators such as Sedgwick, Unum, or The Standard.\nExperience coordinating international benefit programs, including EOR/PEO models, expatriate benefits, or multi-country vendors.\nExposure to global mobility, immigration, or international assignment programs.\nFamiliarity with benefits practices in EMEA, APAC, or LATAM.\nStatement to Third Party Agencies\nTo ALL recruitment agencies: Candescent only accepts resumes from agencies on the preferred supplier list.
