Bridges operations and development through DevOps practices, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines. Provides hands-on troubleshooting, optimization, and tooling development for production environments. Directs managed services teams to match Candescent business goals.\nCandescent is currently searching for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to operate, automate, and optimize our cloud platforms to ensure reliability, security, and cost efficiency. This role serves as a critical bridge between development and operations by implementing DevOps best practices, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines that support highly available, production-grade fintech systems.\nThe ideal candidate is hands-on, systems-minded, and comfortable working across internal teams and managed service partners to ensure cloud platforms align with Candescent’s business goals.\nKey Responsibilities and Deliverables\nCloud Platform Operations & Reliability\nOperate and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security of production environments\nPerform hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis for cloud and application-level issues\nContinuously optimize cloud environments for performance, resilience, and cost efficiency\nDevOps, Automation & Tooling\nImplement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to enable consistent, repeatable, and secure cloud deployments\nBuild, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines that accelerate development while maintaining quality and control\nDevelop internal tools and automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational reliability\nSecurity, Governance & Cost Management\nEnsure cloud environments adhere to security best practices and internal policies\nPartner with security and engineering teams to support secure deployments and access controls\nMonitor and optimize cloud spend, providing visibility and recommendations to balance cost and performance\nCross-Functional & Managed Services Collaboration\nBridge development and operations teams to support smooth application delivery and production readiness\nDirect and collaborate with managed services providers to ensure operational execution aligns with Candescent business objectives\nContribute to platform standards, documentation, and operational runbooks\nQualifications and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field\nDemonstrated experience operating and automating cloud platforms in production environments\nStrong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code concepts\nHands-on experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and application performance issues\nAbility to translate operational needs into scalable, automated solutions\nStrong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, operations, and external partners\nPreferred Distinctions\nExperience supporting fintech, SaaS, or highly regulated environments\nExposure to cloud cost optimization and financial governance practices\nExperience working with or leading managed services teams\nPassion for automation, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement\nStatement to Third Party Agencies\nTo ALL recruitment agencies: Candescent only accepts resumes from agencies on the preferred supplier list.
