This role is responsible for developing scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures that support corporate offices, cloud environments, financial institution operations, and emerging business initiatives.\nThe Network Architect will partner closely with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud Engineering, Application Development, and Operations teams to define technology roadmaps, establish engineering standards, and drive modernization initiatives. This position serves as the highest level of technical authority for enterprise networking and provides guidance for complex projects, strategic investments, and operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnterprise Network Architecture\nDevelop and maintain the enterprise network architecture roadmap.\nDesign highly available, scalable, and secure LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, Cloud and B2B Networking and internet edge solutions.\nCreate and maintain high-level and low-level network designs, standards, and reference architectures.\nEvaluate existing environments and recommend improvements aligned with business objectives.\nEstablish networking standards and governance for all Candescent locations and hosted environments.\nCloud & Hybrid Networking\nDesign connectivity solutions for Azure, AWS,GCP (Must Have) and hybrid cloud deployments.\nDefine architectures for cloud transit networking, DNS, routing, security segmentation, and application delivery.\nLead cloud networking initiatives on secure multi-cloud connectivity.\nCollaborate with cloud engineering teams on network automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.\nSecurity Architecture & Compliance\nPartner with Information Security teams to design secure network solutions.\nDevelop architectures supporting Zero Trust, network segmentation, NAC, SASE, ZTNA, and secure remote access.\nEnsure designs meet regulatory and compliance requirements including FFIEC, PCI-DSS, SOX, and corporate security standards.\nProvide technical leadership during security assessments, audits, and risk reviews.\nStrategic Leadership\nProvide architectural oversight for major infrastructure projects.\nLead technology evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and vendor assessments.\nDevelop multi-year network technology roadmaps and lifecycle management strategies.\nInfluence infrastructure direction through innovation and industry best practices.\nPresent architectural recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.\nOperational Excellence\nAct as the highest escalation point for complex networking issues.\nReview network performance, capacity, resiliency, and availability metrics.\nGuide disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts.\nEnsure infrastructure designs align with operational supportability requirements.\nAutomation & Modernization\nPromote network automation and orchestration strategies.\nDesign solutions utilizing APIs, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code platforms.\nDrive adoption of modern operational models and observability platforms.\nPartner with engineering teams to implement automated provisioning and configuration management.\nMentorship & Collaboration\nMentor Network Engineers and Senior Engineers on architecture and design principles.\nParticipate in technical reviews, change advisory boards, and project governance.\nFoster technical excellence across Infrastructure Engineering teams.\nBuild strong partnerships with business units, application owners, vendors, and managed service providers.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.\n10+ years of enterprise networking experience.\n5+ years designing large-scale, mission-critical network environments.\nExpert level experience with:GCP Networking\nCloud and B2B Networking \nPalo Alto Networks firewalls\nMeraki Wireless networking technologies\nSD-WAN solutions\n\nStrong experience designing:Fortigate Network firewalls\nCorporate office networks\nHybrid cloud connectivity\nIndividual Financial Institution Networks\n\nExperience with network security architecture and segmentation strategies.\nProven ability to lead large-scale infrastructure transformation projects.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFinancial services or regulated industry experience.\nExperience with:Cisco Wireless / Meraki\nPalo Alto Networks & SCM\nAzure networking\nAWS networking \nGCP networking (Must Have)\nPrisma Access\nNetwork automation platforms\n\nKnowledge of infrastructure-as-code frameworks.\nExperience with monitoring and observability platforms.\nStrong written documentation and presentation skills.\nCertifications (Nice To Have) \nPalo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Architect (PCNSA/PCNSE)\nProfessional Cloud Network Engineer (PCNE)\nAWS Advanced
