Built on an API-first architecture, our extensible ecosystem enables institutions to adapt quickly, integrate easily, and unlock new opportunities for growth-turning every customer interaction into a moment of clarity, confidence, and connection.\nSoftware Quality Engineer (Automation, AI-Driven Testing)\nLOCATION: Mumbai\nPosition Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Software Quality Engineer with deep expertise incheque processing application and modern automation frameworks, who can ensure high-quality delivery across digital banking ecosystems.\nThis role requires a strong combination of:\nAutomation testing + Manual\n AI-assisted QA practices (Copilot, Cursor)\nNext-gen frameworks like Playwright\nKey Responsibilities\nBe part of an Agile team, actively participating in Sprint ceremonies and owning test deliverables.\nManage assigned tasks, track progress, and proactively report risks to timelines.\nDesign, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.\nPerform:Functional, regression, and integration testing\nVolume, performance, and reliability testing\n\nSet up and manage test environments, including hardware labs, virtual systems, and networking configurations.\nUse automation to improve testing efficiency and reduce repetitive processes.\nExecute and analyze load/performance tests, providing actionable insights.\nApply strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to assist development teams.\nContribute to quality metrics, dashboards, and status reporting (daily/weekly/monthly).\nContinuously improve test strategies, frameworks, and quality processes.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\n6+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, test automation, CI/CD, and tools like Jenkins.\nCore Testing Expertise\nStrong experience in:GUI, backend, and database testing\nEnterprise application testing\nFunctional, integration, and end-to-end test design\n\nExperience in API automation\nAutomation & Tools\nExpertise in automation frameworks and tools such as:Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, PractiTest\nJenkins, Maven\n\n Hands-on experience with Playwright (NEW) for modern UI automation and cross-browser testing\nStrong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices\nAdditional Skills\nStrong understanding of performance testing systems\nStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nHigh attention to detail and strong customer-centric mindset\nStatement to Third Party Agencies\nTo ALL recruitment agencies: Candescent only accepts resumes from agencies on the preferred supplier list.
