This position may be filled in Mumbai or Pune, India.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nWe are looking for an Intermediate Software Engineer to join our FOS products team. Reporting to a Senior Engineer or the Director of Software Engineering, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of scalable SaaS solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in full-stack development who is eager to grow technically, take ownership of complex features, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable products.You will work closely with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions that deliver value to our internal and external customers.\n WHAT YOU WILL DO\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy high-quality cloud-based SaaS applications under the guidance of senior engineers.\nContribute to application modernization efforts, including refactoring and maintaining existing applications.\nImplement CI/CD pipelines, logging, and monitoring to improve development efficiency and system reliability.\nAssist with maintaining SOC2 compliance by following secure coding and access control practices.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation, responding to and helping resolve production incidents with support from senior engineers.\nSupport containerization efforts using Docker and deployments to AWS.\nParticipate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices for performance, reliability, and security.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features from concept through deployment and support.\nCreate and maintain technical and end-user documentation.\nIdentify opportunities to improve performance and scalability through testing and optimization.\nStay up to date with emerging technologies and engineering best practices.\nWHAT YOU WILL NEED:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in SaaS or web application development.\nExperience building applications on AWS cloud infrastructure is preferred.\nProficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.\nFamiliarity with frontend frameworks (React or similar) and backend development (.NET, Node.js, or equivalent).\nUnderstanding of cloud platforms, docker, and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git, monitoring).\nExposure to SOC2 or other compliance frameworks is a plus.\nExperience with DevExpress is a plus.\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills with an eye for clean, maintainable code.\nCollaborative mindset and effective communication skills.\nABOUT THE FOS TEAM:\nThe FOS (Facility Optimization Solutions) products team at CannonDesign is dedicated to delivering innovative and comprehensive software, data and AI solutions that drive business success, brand awareness and customer client satisfaction.
