This will involve performing basic laboratory testing such as titrations, pH and conductivity measurements, as well as working with various types of pumps, mixers, chemical feeds, pH controllers and tank level reading equipment. This role will also require repair and replacement duties associated with the wastewaterequipment and systems. Documentation ofproblems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems are also required.\nEssential Functions/Key Deliverables\nMaintain all process equipment tomeet and establish production demands.\n\nLine:\n\nLab:\n\nPerform laboratory testing on a variety of POTW permit parameters such as pH, COD, Fluorides, and Manganese.\n\nOversee and perform basic mechanical repairs on pumps, mixers, chemical feed lines, pH controllers and tank level reading equipment.\n\nTroubleshoot can washer bath and wastewater characteristic changes and provide chemical or process responses accordingly.\n\nMaintain awareness of can line issues, process settings, and quality.\n\nWear proper PPE and gain familiarity withchemicals used throughout process, their hazards, and the appropriate response protocol in the event of an emergency.Reference MSDS.\n\nComplete process checks as required to maintain washer operation, coolant system and wastewater treatment.\n\nAdjust processsettings based on key indicators (decorator trips, tear off rate, tooling usage, washer chemical usage, etc.).\n\nWalk the production line from the washer infeed to the decorator infeed to proactively anticipate and eliminate potential line maintenance issues that may arise.\n\nMake up chemical day tanks for water and wastewater treatment processes.\n\nPerform routine process checks and maintenance on ROand soft water vessels.\n\nProduce a detailed shift handover at the beginning and end of each shift.\n\nComplete all daily housekeeping requirements, quality and processes checks, and answer AC/CAs related to assigned equipment.\n\nMaintain logbooks with production issues and corrective actions.\n\nPerform any other duty reasonablecorresponding with the role.\n\nKnowledge/Skills/Experience\nEngineering or Technical Degree preferred\n\nPriorBeverage Can Manufacturing experience a plus\n\nGood communication and organizational skills\n\nMust have basic skills with Microsoft Office\n\nPhysical Demands\nN (Not Applicable) Activity is not applicable to this position. \nO (Occasionally) Position requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5+ hrs/day) \nF (Frequently) Position requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs/day) \nC (Constantly) Position requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day)\nLift/Carry 10 lbsor less F 11-25 lbsO 25-50+ lb- O\nPush/Pull 10 lbsor less F 11-25 lbsO 25-50+ lb- O\nStand C\nWalk C\nSit O \nManually Manipulate O \nReach Outward F\nReach Above Shoulder F\nClimb O \nCrawl O \nSquat or Kneel O \nBend F\nOther Physical Requirements \nVision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth) \nSense of Sound - Ability to understand conversational speaking \nSense of Touch \nAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - per safety guidelines \nMobility to cover expansive manufacturing environment\nWork Environment\nAbility to work in an environment that can become very hot (temperature) depending on the weather.\nReasonable Accommodations Statement\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
