Our platform, Capalo Zeus VPP™, operates battery energy storage systems as a virtual power plant, helping asset owners generate higher revenues while supporting a more resilient and sustainable energy grid.\nThe role\nAs Technical Market Access Manager, you will be Capalo AI's technical point of contact in Poland with PSE, distribution system operators (OSDs), prequalification testing companies and other partners. You will guide energy assets from onboarding and prequalification through to commercial operation. You will also own technical readiness in Capalo AI's market entries in South-East Europe, starting with Romania, Greece and Bulgaria, so that grid connection, telemetry and asset integration requirements are met before launch.\nWhat you'll do\nGrid operators and authorities\nManage data exchange and metering data access in CSIRE, the central Polish energy market information system\n\nHandle Capalo AI's technical obligations under transmission and distribution agreements, and follow applications and qualification documentation through to approval\n\nBRP transfer and asset onboarding\nOwn the BRP transfer for new assets in Capalo AI's portfolio: BRP change applications and contract updates with PSE and OSDs\n\nDraft prequalification and onboarding plans per asset, and coordinate certified testing companies through test execution and reports\n\nCoordinate technical readiness between the client, the client's EPC or PPC vendor, the OSD or PSE, and Capalo AI's platform integration team\n\nSupport settlement reconciliation by checking DSO metered data and imbalance calculations against real-time data\n\nClient support\nGive technical input to contract negotiations, and explain the prequalification and onboarding process, obligations and timelines to clients\n\nGo-to-market and technical readiness in other EU markets\nMap the technical and regulatory requirements for market entry in Romania, Greece and Bulgaria, respecting each market's own conventions\n\nDefine and run a technical readiness checklist per asset and per market\n\nTurn the Polish prequalification and onboarding process into reusable playbooks for new markets\n\nInternal bridge and documentation\nAct as the interface between Capalo AI's Helsinki teams and external counterparties, translating both language and regulatory context\n\nDraft and translate technical and regulatory documents between Polish and English, and maintain process documentation\n\nWhat you'll bring\nMust-haves\nA technical degree in physics, electrical or power engineering, energy, automation or a similar field\n\nAt least two years of experience in the Polish energy sector, with solid knowledge of Polish market structure and rules\n\nHands-on experience with at least two of the following: balancing services and prequalification, grid connection processes with OSDs or PSE, BESS, PV or generation asset operations, BRP and BSP processes, or energy trading\n\nNative or fluent Polish, and professional written and spoken English\n\nAble to work independently as well as part of an international team, and willing to travel within Europe\n\nNice-to-haves\nUnderstanding of energy trading in day-ahead, intraday (SDAC and SIDC) and balancing markets, and how BESS and hybrid PV and BESS assets are optimized across them\n\nPlant control and telemetry knowledge: PPC, SCADA, IEC 60870-5-104 and metering\n\nExposure to South-East European markets, or a background at an OSD, PSE, an aggregator or trading company, a BESS developer or EPC, or a prequalification testing company\n\nComfortable using AI tools in daily work, for example to research regulation, draft documents and prepare onboarding plans\n\nWhy Capalo\nWork on technology that is accelerating the transition to renewable energy\n\nJoin a fast-growing company at the intersection of AI and energy markets\n\nWork with a highly collaborative and mission-driven team\n\nDirect exposure to multiple European electricity and balancing markets during Capalo AI's regional expansion\n\nWhat to expect\nLocation: Poland (Warsaw preferred, remote within Poland possible), with regular travel\nWorking mode: Based in Poland, with regular travel to Romania, Greece, Bulgaria and our Helsinki office\nRecruitment process: First interview → Take-home assignment → Technical interview → Meet the CEO\nHow to apply\nIf this sounds like a problem you'd enjoy solving, we'd like to hear from you.\nWe value diverse perspectives and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
