Join the climb with us!\nAbout the Role\nWe're looking for a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive Payment Operations Specialist to join one of the most dynamic and critical teams at Capchase.\nPayment Operations sits at the center of our business, where everything from deal origination and approvals to funding and customer repayments comes together. Our team ensures deals are accurately deployed, funds move on time, and every transaction is properly reconciled.\nThis is more than a payment processing role. You'll own critical daily operations while helping us build smarter, more scalable processes.\nWe're looking for someone who is naturally curious, questions things that don't look right, and enjoys understanding how systems work. Someone who doesn't just flag an issue, but investigates its cause, understands its impact, and helps find a solution.\nYou'll work closely with Finance, Capital Markets, Risk, Product, Engineering, and other Operations teams, combining accurate daily execution with continuous improvement.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn Daily Payment Operations\nReview, validate, and deploy approved deals, ensuring financial details, documentation, payment schedules, and approvals are accurate.\n\nExecute and monitor vendor payouts, customer collections, refunds, and other money movement activities across payment rails and currencies.\n\nPerform daily cash and payment reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve failed, returned, duplicate, or misapplied transactions.\n\nIndependently manage time-sensitive priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting banking deadlines.\n\nInvestigate, Question, and Improve\nChallenge unusual transactions, inconsistent information, or suspicious payment instructions before processing.\n\nInvestigate operational issues and platform bugs, identify root causes, assess their broader impact, and drive resolution.\n\nDevelop a strong understanding of our platform and the end-to-end transaction lifecycle, from deal origination through funding and repayment.\n\nIdentify opportunities to simplify, automate, and scale workflows using modern tools, including AI agents and automation.\n\nPartner with Product and Engineering to improve platform functionality, test solutions, and strengthen operational controls.\n\nCollaborate and Take Ownership\nCoordinate with Finance, Capital Markets, Risk, Collections, and Customer Operations to resolve issues and ensure smooth handoffs.\n\nCommunicate blockers, risks, and outstanding items clearly and proactively, following through until resolution.\n\nSupport operational reporting, month-end reconciliations, and other cross-functional initiatives.\n\nWhat You'll Need\n2+ years of experience in operations, payments, treasury, or another analytical, execution-focused role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.\n\nExceptional attention to detail and critical thinking. You notice inconsistencies, question assumptions, and understand the importance of financial accuracy.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence working with large datasets and investigating complex issues.\n\nCuriosity and a systems mindset. You want to understand how things work, why problems happen, and how processes can be improved.\n\nStrong ownership and independence.
