This role requires an individual who excels at executive stakeholder engagement, builds world-class Excel-based reporting and dashboards, and confidently drives senior governance forums. The successful candidate will combine analytical rigour with executive presence to provide meaningful insights, influence decision-making, and continuously improve programme governance.\nKey Responsibilities\nExecutive Stakeholder Engagement\nBuild trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders, including Directors, Managing Directors, and Executive Sponsors.\nAct as the primary PMO interface for programme leadership, ensuring timely communication of programme status, risks, decisions, and dependencies.\nInfluence stakeholders through data-driven insights and structured recommendations.\nPrepare executives for governance meetings by developing concise briefing notes and decision papers.\nExecutive Governance & Leadership Forums\nOwn the planning, coordination, and facilitation of Steering Committees, Executive Governance Boards, Programme Reviews, and Leadership Forums.\nDevelop executive-ready governance packs, presentations, and decision logs.\nDrive governance cadence, ensuring actions, risks, and decisions are tracked to closure.\nChallenge programme teams where required to ensure governance standards and delivery commitments are met.\nAdvanced Reporting & Excel Analytics\nDesign and maintain sophisticated Excel dashboards using advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, data modelling, and automation.\nProduce executive dashboards that provide meaningful insights into programme health, financials, milestones, risks, dependencies, and KPIs.\nTransform complex datasets into clear, visually compelling reports for senior leadership.\nContinuously improve reporting by introducing automation and reducing manual effort.\nProgramme Governance & PMO Excellence\nManage programme plans, RAID logs, milestones, dependencies, and governance artefacts.\nEnsure adherence to PMO standards, methodologies, and reporting frameworks.\nSupport portfolio planning, resource management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.\nMaintain accurate programme documentation and audit-ready governance records.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve programme governance, reporting, and delivery effectiveness.\nRecommend and implement practical, scalable process improvements.\nIntroduce innovative reporting techniques, automation, and best practices that enhance decision-making.\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement across the programme.\nRequired Skills & Experience\nMandatory\n15+ years of PMO, Programme Management, or Portfolio Governance experience.\nDemonstrated experience supporting C-suite or Executive-level stakeholders.\nProven ability to lead senior governance forums and executive steering committees.\nExpert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including:\nAdvanced formulas (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, etc.)\nPivot Tables & Pivot Charts\nPower Query\nPower Pivot\nDynamic dashboards\nData modelling and automation\nVBA/macros (preferred)\nExceptional PowerPoint skills with experience creating board-level presentations.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nExcellent verbal and written communication with executive-level presentation skills.\nAbility to synthesise complex information into concise executive insights.\nPreferred\nExperience in Financial Services, Banking, or large consulting-led transformation programmes.\nPower BI or Tableau expertise.\nExperience with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, or Clarity.\nPMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certifications.\nKey
