Previous cybersecurity experience is not required! We’re looking for someone eager to dive into the world of technical coordination and delivery.\nYour mission will be to collaborate with application owners, developers, architects, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that WAF implementations and related changes progress smoothly and successfully. If you thrive in a complex banking/enterprise technology environment and enjoy managing multiple stakeholders while independently overseeing smaller technical projects, this is the role for you!\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nCoordinate WAF onboarding for applications from the initial request through to implementation and production/blocking mode.\n\nCollaborate with application owners, architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and WAF engineers to keep implementations moving forward.\n\nCoordinate WAF testing, tuning, and production changes to ensure optimal performance.\n\nTrack actions, dependencies, blockers, and delivery dates to keep everything on track.\n\nCoordinate Change Requests (CRs) and implementation schedules like a pro!\n\nManage several smaller technical initiatives/workstreams simultaneously with finesse.\n\nMaintain Jira boards, tickets, and delivery backlogs to keep everything organized.\n\nCoordinate infrastructure-related activities such as servers, load balancers, firewall rules, and certificates.\n\nSupport improvements and automation of existing WAF processes to enhance efficiency.\n\nCoordinate operational activities such as patching, compliance requirements, and Disaster Recovery testing.\n\nSupport urgent security changes, including the coordination of zero-day WAF policy updates to keep our systems safe!\n\nHelp improve and document the ongoing BAU / operational processes for the service.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nMost Important\nExperience working in a large banking or financial services technology environment is a must!\n\nA solid understanding of how banking IT and infrastructure organizations operate.\n\nExperience working with various technical stakeholders, including:\nApplication owners\n\nDevelopers / Tech Leads\n\nSolution and Infrastructure Architects\n\nInfrastructure and platform teams\n\nProject and Delivery Managers\n\nSome experience in technical project coordination / project management to help you shine in this role.\n\nAbility to coordinate deployments and manage multiple smaller projects or workstreams effectively.\n\nExperience working in Agile / Scrum environments is a plus!\n\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills to foster collaboration.\n\nSelf-sufficient and proactive - able to take ownership of activities and drive them forward without constant supervision.\n\nUseful but Not Essential\nUnderstanding of Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and how applications are onboarded, tuned, and moved into blocking mode.\n\nExperience with F5 Advanced WAF, AVI WAF or NGINX+ would be a bonus!\n\nExperience with Jira and Change Management processes to streamline operations.\n\nA general understanding of infrastructure components such as servers, databases, load balancers, certificates, and firewall rules.\n\nPrevious cybersecurity experience is not required.
